Em, please do a "how I manage my reading" type of video. You have a job, a beauty channel and find the time to read all these books. I'd love to learn how you organize your reading time. Love you girl 💕
@BookswithEmilyFox8 жыл бұрын
The last two months probably won't be representative lol August there was no school and September was a bit all over the place. The first week I wasn't working and school hadn't started yet. I work and go to school part time. I read on the bus (30mins to 1h a day) and then read every night before bed to calm down. I don't own a TV and try to not spend too much time on the internet (I'm not always successful there :P). During the weekends I try and find a couple of hours to read a bit more! I do read really fast but that's pretty much it :)
@aubriellat63218 жыл бұрын
LifewithEmilyFox thank you for taking the time to reply Emily! I didn't know if you were still in school or on a break. I also read on the bus as well, it's probably one of my favorite places to read for some reason. It seems it's mostly all circumstantial as I figured it would be. I'd like to read more but I do spend a lot of time playing video games and watching tv shows/movies/sports. I've been getting better about making more time for books though, you've inspired me with this channel! Thank you so much for your reply, I know me and a few people were wondering.

The Uglies series is great, she gets less annoying towards the middle or end of the first book, the next two are definitely improvements. I wasn't as into the fourth because it was a different perspective, though it was cool to see the ramifications of how the main character from the original trilogy changed society around the world. :)

Emily I LOVE that you started this channel!! I just noticed that you mentioned it on your beauty channel lol. Historical fiction is my favorite genre. The tea Rose trilogy by Jennifer Donnelly is amazing, A curious beginning by Deanna Raybourn is the start of a new series, also historical fiction, and I highly recommend. Right now I'm reading The woman in cabin 10 by Ruth Ware, and it is a great suspense mystery so far, I think you should read it!

I totally get your thoughts on Uglies. Personally I really did love the series! I found that the middle of Uglies gets slow and bogged down, but I do think its worth the read for the rest of the series. But it also isn't for everyone and totally get why you weren't into it :) Im really happy you enjoyed The Rest Of Use Just Live Here! I really liked the little blurbs at the beginning of each chapter before it swapped over to the main story line too. ^_^ If you're kind of interested in a tournament of magicians style book, take a look at The Crown's Game by Evelyn Skye. Its very similar AND its set in Tsarist Russia! Though I will warn you it does have the romance aspect of it. But I found I just enjoyed how it was written and I got really excited when I found out that it is in fact NOT a stand alone book and the author is working on the sequel to it right now! And since it's October, as a random thriller style read, I recommend The Naturals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes (its a 4 book series, with the 4th book releasing this November and I'm SO stoked!) its basically Criminal Minds but with teens. (Yes theres a bit of a romance thing with it but honestly? I didn't find it to be the main focus of the books at all. It just happened to be in it) or read The Cellar by Minette Walters. I read it in an ARC version and well...it was unnerving to me tbh. But I still think it was a good read and its a short book as well so it won't take up too much time! Happy reading :) PS- if you're looking for book recommendations, check out the app Reco. its new and was developed by Indigo. (sadly only on IOS at the moment though

Emily, you have a book channel too! Aaaaah, both beauty and books, you are perfect! I love your genuine personality. I am so impressed by the number of videos you manage to upload on both channels! You read so much, how do you find the time? Do you sell your books once you are finished reading them or do you have a lot of storage space? I don't know if you have already read them but I really recommend all the other books by Gillian Flynn, they are so intense! Dark Places is super creepy but awesome. Sharp Objects was my favorite but the end really killed me! Gone Girl is also worth reading through the end even though the end is also disappointing to me. Bisous from France! (I didn't know if it was appropriate to write in French! )

Just a book suggestion. If you enjoyed Night(Ellie Wiesel), I would give his other two referenced as a trilogy. Dawn and Day. Both excellent reads that I enjoyed very much. These two are fiction, as its Wiesel exploring different people dealing with the aftermath of the holocaust.

I can't wait to read those two VE Schwab books!! They are going to be my next book purchases for sure!! A book that I recommend to you is called Lullabies for Little Criminals. I just noticed it at Chapters the other day because they were displaying it for it's tenth anniversary or something and it reminded me how much I liked that book!! The Author is from Montreal and it also takes place there :) So extra points for us 😜🤓 I found The Night Circus at a used book store in BC (can't wait for your review) along with the City of Bones but I could not for the life of me find the A darker shade of magic (saw the second book but my luggage was already exploding and that one's a biggie so sadly I left it behind at the store) and I also couldn't find I'll Give you the Sun by Jandy Nelson. I'll get them on book outlet or chapters though (or my next trip out there which could be anytime). Did I mention how much I love that you have a book channel!?!
