Have the R8647B and use it with regular 4 amp batteries with a diablo carbide 3 tpi demo blade 3 blades for $31, the saw doesn't bog down at all, I did some research and it's best to use the Diablo carbide blades they're easily the best, spending money on the Diablo carbide blades saves you time, energy and money because they last longer and don't break. Do not cheap out on blades. I tested the saw and the blades cutting out a tree stump at home, I have 4 4 amp regular batteries, each 4 amp battery will last like 25 mins with max force on the recip saw, I used almost 3 4 amp batteries to completely remove the stump, the tool heats up but it never bogs down or shuts down, I went full force through the stump and the dirt no bogging down I was extremely impressed 👌

How many times did you try replicating the cutout problem with the 2nd battery? (Any times that aren’t shown in this video?) Bottom line question -> How likely is it that the 1st battery was the only problem? Thank you for reviewing a solid-looking tool that I might buy.

I'm not so sure it cut out, as much as shut itself down. I mean, it seems more than powerful enough to get through that wood and keep going through the end even if the material does start to pinch. Kinda seems like the same aggressive safety bullshit my old brushed Gen5x had 🤔 Which, I'd consider more of a minor inconvenience than anything, but of course I almost never use a recip saw to make money.

Good video I guarantee you if someone is motivated enough they may Frankenstein using parts from Milwaukee for the reciprocating saw since they're both TTI and in your opinion do you think the front metal clutch switch and Chuck from the Gen 2 Milwaukee fuel would fit the new ridgid hammer drill if someone wants to do a modification it's just an idea I wouldn't do it personally myself I have done things like that to DeWalt back in the day when they had Nicad tools I swapped out a couple of different parts of there models of their drills and other tools and made better the warranties were expired so I didn't care it was way before KZbin days
