I don't have any ACC's because I don't trust rods held together by paint. I have seen enough painted bass rods break to know to stay away. I do have several sacalait rods of other brands though. The Berkley C Series 10' is cheap and one of my favorites. It has a super soft tip and all the backbone you need. Another favorite it the cheapest jig pole I own, the Shakespeare Crappie Hunter. It is extremely flexable and keeps fish pinned. It is a blast to fish with. The most sensitive jig pole I have is the BnM Tree Thumper. I have a KFred Float Popper, and it it a lot of fun as well. All that said, my go too for fishing around trees and mats is the 11' bottom seat BnM Buck's Custom.

Thanks for the video comparison. I appreciate you taking the time & effort to make it. Love my B&M Sam Heaton and how sensitive the tip is. I generally net big crappie and don't try to flip them in the boat. Good Fishing.

The ACC has a Blend mixture of Graphite and Kevlar. (The Kevlar is too stiff for crappie). That rod was designed for virtual live scope fishing. When the bite is soft you will miss fish with the green 2x4 (ACC). Check out the Outlaw Crappie Poles. You can’t go wrong.✌️

Same problem I have had with ACC. They aren't bad rods, they just don't feel that sensitive to me. I just prefer BnM. As an added bonus they are about 10-20 bucks cheaper on average than most ACC rods. I bought a few Roger Grant Difference rods to play around with side pulling and I liked them so much I started vertical jigging with them too. I think I like them more than the Sam Heaton's Super Sensitive that I have fished with forever!

I prefer BnM. Have had a couple ACC's snap at the end in the last few years. I did like the ACC's before that though, but not as much as the BnM's feel. BnM just matched my overall feel and preference a little better. If it weren't for the breakages, I would say the ACC's were good rods. Your comments about flipping with the ACC is a very good observation and is valid. I will say that BnM's TCB rod is fantastic for crappie as well, but a totally different rod for different tactics.

That Acc rod is known to snap on hook set as well. Where I’ve never seen a B&M snap on hook set. Because of the parabolic bend it has.

Have to disagree my ACC rods is the best rods I've e ever used. I was using Todd Huckabee rods and sold them at a swap meet in MWC Oklahoma. I've had mine for 2 years now and never broke one. Guess I'm a lucky one or I take better care of my gear than some
