TES was an entirely new concept for myself growing up, as I was not prone to reading/writing or have a healthy upbringing--think "The Cable Guy" and his childhood of being placed in front of a TV to melt my brain away. In a funny way, I guess it's because text based games like Morrowind or Tecmo's: Deception (which also helped me) that have consequences on your actions if you don't read the "fine print" of what an NPC says that will cause nuisances later in the game FORCE you to learn.

I love em all equally , each one has its special thing compared to the rest , skyrim has the atmosphere that makes you want to wish that you live in it with all the people you love , oblivion has most fun combat out of them all , morrowind has the most intriguing lore and cryptic vibe , it just makes you want to study it in depth till you find nothing more to find , like just look at the 6th house and all of its entities and aesthetics for example , this nobleness gored and mangled beyond a hope of redemption and repair , all destined for eternal hell and damnation. the tribe unmourned.

Plot: Alright so you were born in an uncertain land to uncertain parents and under a certain star so you may or may not be the Nerevarine so you were removed from prison to see if you can bring stability to land of Morrowind. The Emperor has sent word to the Blades to train you to stop the blight. Player: Huh? Plot: Back in the first era the Chimer were led by Veloth to Resdayn. Over the centuries, Chimer took over and secured Resdayn after several battles against the neighboring humans and the Dwemer. This was the climax to a battle after the warrior king Indoril Nerevar, and his gang defeated the dwarf king. Nerevar's team was anime-esque group of friends with Indoril Nerevar as leader, Voryn Dagoth as the cool guy lancer and best friend, Almalexia as token action girl and Indoril's wife, Sotha Sil as the nerd, and Vivec as the comic relief. Well they went to Red Mountain and destroyed the Numidium, the giant robot being built by the dwarves using the heart of an Aedra but Lord of the Rings style this super powerful heart artifact corrupted them. Nerevar got Dagoth to protect it but he was too cool. Well, Azura, one of the Good Daedra of the Chimer, wasn't too happy about all this god power floating around since she is kinda petty and lame so she ended the whole Resdaynian Chimer race and turned them into Dunmer. The rest of the team killed Dagoth but only to get him out of the way because of how jealous they were so then they killed nerevar and used it to become gods. Azura really didnt like that and told them she was going to keep reincarnating Nerevar til one of the reincarnations can whoop 'em but she says a lot of things so who cares. Well Voryn Dagoth didnt take dying too kindly so he rematerialized himself with the power of the heart and took over red mountain and the heart. He was a god now and had crazy powers related to subconscious and death states he referred to as sleep and madness. Well, Dagoth reached CHIM in sleep which is a metaphysical state of passing through the wheel through the tower while being the state of what is, what isnt, and the witness which Vivec referred to as the Sharmat and said it was fake death CHIM while he really CHIMed so now Dagoth just doesnt want to deal with it anymore, figures the dwarves were right, and is building a new Numidium called Akulakhan to just clean out all these vain fake gods and this fake religion Vivec, Almalexia, and Sotha Sil made called the Tribunal and set them up as fake Is, Isn't, and witness. So now with the sleepers and their madness spreading, a bunch of old lazy fake gods, Empire really wants their Morrowind tax money off the illegal slave trade so they are going to throw anybody who even kinda fits gamer girl Azura's imaginary husbando at Vvardenfell to fight against the Sixth House until something sticks, and that includes you. Player: Huh?

Honestly, this is true. I'm an avid fan of the Project Tamriel mods, which have seen a relatively big boom in development over the last couple years due to zoomers joining the teams. I'm 30, and I don't understand why people in their early-mid 20s are falling in love with Morrowind enough to jump into intensive modding, but I'm not complaining

I don't really care much about the old graphics, having no quest marker, very limited voice acting, or the combat sistem in Morrowind. They make the game more fun in my opinion. I also find the first quests of the main story entertaining, but I haven't completed that part of the game yet. Seeing the flying mage for the first time got a good laugh out of me. I hadn't expected to find him while looking aroumd the map, and the way he screams while falling makes it even better

Hi I started playing Morrowind 5 days ago (Morrowind is older than me) after playing several hours in Skyrim and I can say that I really like that the weapons are not ridiculously slow and now I know what they mean when they say it has a superior magic system ,also that the armors are so segmental allowing you to wear clothes and armor on top as well as being able to use different gloves and shoulder pads,and lastly, what I like the most is that sometimes it feels so random and genuinely each cave and family mausoleum feels different, for example traveling north I found a cave and there were fire Atronachs and wizards so one by one I killed them and when they started looting for some reason they had a ridiculous amount of soul gems but more importantly Dwemer items 3 war axes, two war hammers, a sword, a right gauntlet and a greaves and they were all Dwemer even though there was not a single Dwemer ruin near or inside the cave. It really gives a greater sense of discovery to the world and gives you more reasons to explore them all instead of having 50 almost identical bandit caves. My only complaints are that it's a bit confusing finding locations/people for quests and even more confusing finding merchants who have the money to buy my expensive loot.

Alright 13 Years old kid right here that just bought the game because it was on sale. This game was a masterpiece, now I never play oblivion or skyrim or any other new elder scroll game but I think morrowind will be my all time favorite. So my first characther was a argonian which was not the best option since now I need play the game at a snail pace. I also have zero knowledge of the game whatsoever, so I pretty much put all magic stuff that sounds cool as a major skill other than long blade and heavy armor. Since in new I though that I need to walk the entire game so I decide to go to balmora by using the road in the left, found the funni falling guy and have no idea that I can use the scroll. So after got killed by Dark Brotherhood, rats and more I finally acounter npc that will give me boots of blinding speed so I did the quest, almost died, took a lot of reload and finally reach Gnar Mok (I think?) i was exicted to use the boots! I will not walk with the same speed as a mudcrab i said to myself, only to found out that beast race cannot use shoes. So Yeah i finally reach balmora and after that I do some mages guild quest. After playing Morrowind I found out that every game can be fun on its own way, even though it could be somewhat unforgiving but when the times come, I see my character levitating across the Morrowind in a speed of light, having maxed out everything and casting Nuke spell across the entire Morrowind. 10/10 would play the game again

Most Zoomers will quit before they leave the first town because their short attention spans can't handle having to read or actually having to put in any amount of work to make progress. If they're not being constantly led with quest markers or flashy lights or having an achievement pop up at least every 5 minutes then the game is "old" and "bad". Not all are like that but it's really a shame how far the average intelligence has fallen in this era of everyone gets a trophy and instant gratification with no effort involved.

@@Justanobody8472 your problem with morrowind is that it isn't like its two mid sequels that leant hard into ultra generic D&D fantasy? oblivion was not relatable to the morrowind world because cyrodiil wasn't a jungle, it was generic D&D. apart from VA, poly count, texture size and aspect ratio, I can't think of a single change to TES IV or TES V which was actually a positive thing

@@BeatrixxCe doubt they will ever remake it because it has far too much dialogue to VA. if it's too arcane for you, openMW is a good way to play it, just works out of the box at any resolution etc. - the main thing is when you miss it's because the enemy dodged, there's just no dodge animations. if you know that, the game is great. oblivion really has not aged well at all, it's super glitchy, clunky, NPCs look creepy, gameplay is mid

Combat sucks. Walking sucks Maybe the setting and writing is better, but who cares? I'll read a book. The thing I've heard from multiple people on the positives of this game is the freedom you have to create your character and creatively use the systems. I don't want to have to look to break the game to enjoy it. It's just not for me.
