Boondockers Welcome Big Mike’s RV Camp Homerville Georgia

We stayed at Big Mike’s RV Camp in Homerville, Georgia. This is a Boondockers Welcome site. We stayed 4 nights free. They do have electric sites available but they are $25 a night! It is a large open field. They have rescue horses, donkeys, goats, chickens and ducks. The horses and donkeys are put out in the field where we camped for part of the day. Beware to keep your pets inside while they are about. They have been known to be aggressive with dogs. It rained before and while we were there. It was a muddy mess. We would have enjoyed it more if the weather had been better.
I am a single female traveling full time with my 2 Yorkies Dee Dee and Ziggy. I have a 2012 Airstream Flying Cloud 20c. She is small but the perfect home on wheels for me. Since there is no place like home that’s how she got her name, Dorothy. It follows naturally to name my channel name is Following the Yellow Brick Road. I love the horses! That is an awesome train depot! Cool that it was open so you could go inside. All the old building pics are very neat! Wow Tiffany windows. That's interesting! It's a beautiful church. Cute little donkey's. Oh man that stinks that he got stuck in the mud. Bummer he had to call a tow truck. What is that noise? Doesn't sound good. Oh so just the chain popping? That noise would have had me quite concerned. Guess that's why you leave it to the professionals.

We loved all the history there! The depot was amazing. We just happened upon the women who runs the office there for the city. She gave us a personal tour. It was really great. Yes, the chain popping was really scary at first. It was a great place with all the animals but the weather was not our friend. Thanks for watching!

Hi Shirley! Looks like a wonderful place to boondock with all those animals. I bet you're glad to see Florida in your rearview mirror! Lots of new adventures to see. Seems like you guys had been there forever! That old train depot was amazing, so glad the town owns it and renovated it for the community. So many old buildings just get torn down, but I like the old ones, so much more character, and if the walls could talk... makes you wonder what they would reveal? lol 😊 Happy that Kevin and Dawn got unstuck! OMG! I thought they’re fifth wheel was coming apart when I heard that sound! I’ve never heard a cable making that sound before, as, I’ve had big trucks I drove [when I was still trucking] with winches on them. So, you’ve moved outta Florida completely and for good? Now a full timer? I thought you had a house and full of ‘stuff’….I’m confused! Safe travels! ~Jim~

Well, I’m a full timer but I still have a house in Florida. My kids are staying in it and keeping it up for me. That way I still have a spot to come home to.
