Boondocking Recon 101- Colorado Edition

Finding free camping spots around the country is not always as easy as some channels make it look. In this episode Kyle heads out to do some recon on free camping locations around Telluride and Gunnison Colorado. You can't always believe what you see on sites like campendium.com and freecampsites.net when it comes to larger RVs. We also learn a hard lesson that Colorado in early May is not the best time to be at 10,000 ft of elevation.

General delivery to a post office is a great way to get mail, packages, Free

Debbie, you are absolutely correct. We've used general delivery quite a few times. Unfortunately, Amazon won't let us specify that we want our items shipped with the postal service and with general delivery they will not accept packages from UPS or FedEx in my experience.

Sometimes boondocking is a lot more work to find spots. But worth it in the end.

What is that net setup you have in the truck behind the drivers seat?

That is actually a pet screen that we use to keep our four cats in the back seat of the truck when we're traveling. My wife actually sits back there with them on travel days. Here's a link to the one we have. amzn.to/3LYp2ug

How well do you like your Starlink service? Also, how long did it take you to get it after you ordered it? We ordered in January & we're still waiting.

We love it, we ordered it and it was shipped about 3 days later back in January of this year. Now with the RV version that they just released for service package, you can get it shipped now. You may want to check your account and possibly move it over to RV to get it shipped. Funny, you should ask. I'm actually getting ready to do another Starlink update video tomorrow and should be out on Monday or Wednesday of this coming week. Not sure if you saw, but we have a Starlink playlist on our page as well, we've done four videos up to this point with updates along the way.
