Today I made an orange roll cake with gorgeous colors and fragrant juice.
I made orange confit that was so delicious to eat on its own and added it to the cake batter.
I think it's a perfect gift for the upcoming holiday season with its gorgeous design.
It would be good for Christmas right now, right?
I think oranges are better because they are a fruit that can be found relatively easily.
This roll cake was much prettier in person than in the video.
It's a pity that I couldn't capture all of this beauty on video.

And this cake tastes really good.
Wouldn't the orange be too thick and interfere with the texture? Don't worry about it.
Soft orange confit meets softer sponge cake.
So, as you can see in the video, the cake is very soft.
The cream was made with a relatively simple cream.
Still, it's delicious enough.
I used cream with 38% milk fat content. If you use heavy cream with a milk fat content of 40% or more, you can omit the mascarpone.

I used Navel Orange.🤭
*Navel Orange?
Oranges are mainly used as fresh fruit due to their high sugar content and low sourness.
Navel means ‘navel’, and is named so because the bottom of the stem is shaped like a navel. Oranges were spread from India, their place of origin, to Portugal and became Valencia oranges, and those spread to Brazil spread back to the United States and became navel oranges. In the early 19th century, a mutant appeared in an orange tree in Brazil, producing seedless oranges. It is said that all modern-day navel oranges are derived from this mutant.
Unlike Valencia oranges, it is characterized by having no seeds. It has a high sugar content and low sourness, but has less juice than Valencia oranges, so it is mainly used for fresh fruit rather than juice. The skin is easily peeled off and divided into pieces, making it easy to eat anywhere. Like other oranges, it is rich in vitamin C, with 60 mg per 100 mg of flesh, which is more than Valencia oranges (40 mg). This variety is mainly grown in California, a state famous for orange production. In the northern hemisphere, such as the United States, it is harvested from November to May of the following year, and in the southern hemisphere, such as South Africa, it is harvested from April to September.

● Cup measure standard
237ml = 1 cup
15ml = 1Tbsp
5ml=1tsp
1 egg (53 g without shell)
Heavy cream (38% milk fat)
(Chocolate is chopped, flour is before sifting)
● Orange confit (3mm thick)
2 oranges
200g water
135g sugar
20g orange liqueur (Legoll Orange) - (optional)
food coloring (optional)
● Orange Soufflé Cake
(Mold size 25cm*25cm)
80g cake flour
3 yolks
1 egg
50g milk
50 g unsalted butter
5ml vanilla extract (1tsp)
20g milk
3 egg whites
80g sugar
● Cream (Orange Crème)
60g mascarpone
250g heavy cream
40g sugar
2ml orange liqueur (optional)
