In this video I cover DDU and if it helps boost performance as much as people claim it does. I don't think I've used DDU in well over 5/6 years so I had a lot of previous driver junk and it was fun to see the improvement that I did see while using it.

Hi so before I attempt this I'm wondering if you could help clarify something for me. If I'm on a laptop using an RTX 2070 Super MAXQ should i leave my laptop on the dedicated gpu (Nvidia) or set it to hybrid mode as I'm planning on using DDU on just my Nvidia drivers. Secondly for the second program (NV Cleaninstall) you went through does that take into consideration /or matter if your gpu is a desktop gpu or laptop (mobile) gpu, or does the program use what driver you have available from your downloads?

My computer is fairly new, I have downloaded a lot of drivers audio and game and probablly have over 5 older ones. is this worth it? can you get stuck in safe mode? or is this fairly really easy to do? also i understand you do the safe mode then ddu then install with nv clean install.

Hi! Great video! I have a mobile GTX 1650 and Nvidia doesn't allow to raise its power limit in Afterburner unless its with 528.24 driver. In every other driver the option is grey out. Do you think its worth it to install 528.24 and have the 50w 116% power limit raise, or 546.29 offers better performance that rivals the power limit raise from the older driver? The alternative would be to flash a higher tdp vbios and get 546.29 but not really comfortable with that. Thank you so much!

So I run laptop/external and have it setup so the AMD igpu only runs the laptop screen, and the nvidia gpu only runs the external over display link, currently with optimus not making any decisions. Would I keep everything connected as is, and run DDU twice for each gpu? Disconnect external and turn optimus back on and then DDU? I've been curious about DDU for a while but I was never sure who to ask that I trusted and wouldnt waste my time. on my hardware (r7 5800x3d and rtx 3070) I got a ~16% perf increase with full gpu utilisation on Minecraft with hwaccel raytracing on, before it was around ~240fps and after the ddu step and installing the same drivers as before with identical debloat and optimisation settings i averaged ~280 fps in the same scenario.

I’ve been using DDU for quite some time to install an older version of the NVIDIA driver that gave me better results than the current versions of the drivers, more fps and more stability. So far so good, but I would like to install the most recent version of NVIDIA to test the results. However, my question is, should I uninstall the old version using DDU or can I directly overwrite it by installing the most recent version? (using DDU aswell)?

@@Eleganttf2 Nvidia 537.58 - RTX 3050 (laptop). I rolled back to that version because the new ones decreased my fps to -30, fps drops to 50 from 200 in certain situations. This is for CS2.

It usually happens when the gpu and cpu are out of sync. You could try a slightly lower frame cap or slightly higher one to see if it works

If you need the newest one for game support it might be worth keeping that one, but I would recommend the one I chose typically
