Thank you for the information sir. I would like to apply for fulbright Nehru Postdoctoral Fellowship. They have mentioned monthly stipend but didn't mentioned the denomination. Really confused if we can manage there with the stipend they give ?(not knowing the amount).

How does the bioscience candidate apply for the fellowship, since it's showing only the Bioengineering domain as relevant for bioscience.

At the research stage it depends more on the proposal title and content and the department of the host professor. Of course your capability to do the proposed research will be evaluated by the committee, reference letters etc. You can ask them by by email for more clarification.

Choosing a small town which is relatively cheap goes a long way in managing well within postdoc students. In Fulbright you have to write a proposal to get the fellowship. This is also known as a grant. Typically you decide on a topic and title of the proposal and then ask a professor in that area of research if they are interested. If they say yes, then you write a full proposal and send it to him for comments. After a few iterations you converge on a proposal which satisfies both you and the host professor. You then submit this to Fulbright

It is said that the candidates must have a Ph.D. degree that is not more than 5 years old during the application submission. If a person is awarded a Ph.D. degree in the year 2017, and if he is not eligible to apply for the Full Bright postdoc fellowship then kindly suggest to me what are all the other scholarships available for that researcher (nearing 40 years of age, and more than 5 years old Ph.D. degree) to make use of it to go pursue postdoc or even any kind of visiting researcher (with stipend). 2. Can an Indian citizen apply for this scholarship while working in a foreign country? Thanks in advance.

Yes they have scholarships for masters level. You need to check with the us embassy in your country.
