I did a few of these mods today. Greasing the scrollwheel and the tape/bandaid made the clicks slightly shorter and made it feel alot nicer and tighter. Doesnt rattle nearly as much when i tap the mouse against the table. Togheter with the new mousefeet this mouse is now AMAZING. thanks alot!

Just finished modding mine! Kailh red encoder, kailh silent 6*6*7.3 switches and did the bandaid mods, though i took the top ones out since the click felt too short. The mouse is epic now, the encoder difference is noticeable, you can feel scrolling way more. Thanks mate!

Артем, а не подскажите, какой энкодер можно поставить в GPW кроме Kailh 800К? Просто не хочется 850 руб. отдавать за Kailh 800К. Недавно ставил TTC зелёный на G603. Мне понравился. Довольно тихий. Отсечки бы чуть четче, при такой же шумности. В g pro wireless же 8 мм энкодер?

@@turbobitbox странно, конечно. GPW одна из самых популярных мышей, а на нее ни huano, ни ALPS не делают энкодеры...А на сколько важна точность толщины проставки? Толщина стандартной банковской карты примерно 0,76мм, этого достаточно или нужно наращивать?

нужно четко в 1мм. Если меньше - то то просто всегда будет зажата средняя кнопка мыши. Если больше - то будет люфт болванки колеса. Можно купить альпс 9мм, штангенциркулем отметить 1мм лишнего - и сточить (напильником, бормашинкой - чем угодно). Либо подобрать прокладку на 1мм для 7мм энкодера @@oleg.b.

Are the mouse buttons only that stiff because of the new switches? I didnt really get why you did the stuff with the plaster patches. Been thinking about changing switches for a long time now, I hate the noise the mouse makes when lifting it up and back down. Also hated the mouse click from day1.

@@still6511 Только потому когда у тебя донгл отвалится или даблкликать начнет, тебе логи её не поменяют) Поэтому лично я бы обошелся только тейп модом(хотя думаю уместно как и у клавиатур его назвать holee mode, ибо тейп тоже в дырки наклеивается Если уж запариваться, можно было и звук клика тише сделать, подложив под молоточек микрика тейп любой, а вообще, имхо, но с проблемами g pro x sup и gpw я бы в них не лез до конца гарантийного срока, ибо что днс/ситилинк, что сами логи очень охотно их меняют по любой причине

it does not matter for which microswitches. It is made so that the bump on the micro switch is less audible.

@@crackedspoon2693 You have to understand that every mouse is unique. Each one has a different gap, a different rattle, and a different backlash. You have to adjust the thickness and number of gaskets individually each time.

Yes, I have experimented with several kinds of microswitches. The side buttons of the GPW are made in SMD format. At the moment there are 3 models available for free sale - -Omron D2LS-21 (installed in GPW) -Zippy mini switch (I could not find out the exact model name) -Kailh mini switch (I could not find out the exact model name) Zippy and omron are very similar in terms of pressure sensations. Kailh for 10-12 grams is heavier. In my opinion, you only need to change the side button microswitches in the GPW if it breaks, or you will need heavier microswitches. In other cases, it makes no sense. Perhaps I will record a clip of how to solder smd microswitches.

Привет! Посоветуйте, пожалуйста, энкодер для мыши. Я на aliexpress под g pro заказал kailh, но по всей видимости попался брак. При прокрутке колеса мыши от себя, слышен явный хруст. Разобрав один из энкодеров, я так понял что усик внутреннего колеса вращения цепляется за контакт - тем самым слышен хруст. За видео спасибо. Для ГПВ - только Kailh 800k. высота - 8мм. Это единственное нормальное решение с такой высотой. Этот энкодер закрытый. Их продают на али в фирменном магазине kailh. Можно ввести в поиске - Kailh 800k (800 000) и выбрать энкодер 8мм

Чаще всего косяки с даблкликом зависят не от саомго микркиа, а от прошивки мыши и качества изготовления корпуса мыши. Красные kailh gm 4.0 - жестковатый четкий клик, достаточно упругий. Бирюзовых kailh 2.0 существует два вида. на 70-80г и на 60-70г. Первые не настолько жесткие, как gm 4.0, c достаточно упругим нажатием. Вторые - легкие микрики. Буквально капельку более четкие, чем родные омрон на 50м. Для любителей легкого клика.

боковые магниты не снимал, потому что их пришлось бы снимать сразу с обеих боковин. Без магнитов нажатие кнопки становится более легким, что вредит нажатию, потому что сами микрики довольно легко нажимаются - нужно искуственное усиление. А снимать магниты только с одной боковины - значит, нарушать весовой баланс и ограничивать возможный функционал. Если беспроводной зарядкой мало, кто будет пользоваться, то правыми боковыми - возможно при перепродаже. Суммарный вес магнитов без пластикового обрамления - около 3гр

Is it just me or does the GPX feel like a super cheap mouse? I don't get how everyone says the GPW and GPX feel so good. The coating, buttons and everything feel cheap to me compared to the RVU and DA V2 Pro. I like some PBT type texture to my mouse along with finger grooves and the sides are so nice to hold. I am a huge fan of the V2 optical switches as well, I feel like I don't have to mod anything on the Razer mice I have but I feel compelled to mod the crap out of the GPX to make it nice to use...

well alot of things are preference specially when it comes to feel. I personally love the RVU and the GPX. I cant use a regular gpw though without modding though after using the lighter mice. They are both premium in different ways. Logitech has a lot of nice things done under the hood of the gpx to make it so light without holes but it def could be improved like anything. Also would be cool if razor did an update and made an ultralight RVU that is around 60-65g.

I can only dream as I have heard one of the top Razer guys on the Triple Click podcast saying they feel like their main users of the mice don’t care about weight like us enthusiasts so they think their sales would go down because it would feel “cheap”. I hope that stance changes. I need a wireless MM720 in my life already.

Also the viper mini is 60ish grams and is very popular so I think both companies can do it just a matter of the suites getting on board all the way. And yea a DA ultralight would do really well. Or they should atleast create a new ergo light mouse if not.

@@leonardvdj why do you apply values for microswitches towards mechanical encoders? These are two completely dissimilar mechanisms. If you find a mechanical encoder with the declared resource of 10+ million - write under this comment (but you will not find it) =)). Official kailh store on aliexpress - look for kailh 800k. Select the 8mm version. This is quite a big value for encoders - 800k. There is no need to worry about reliability.

@@turbobitbox Yeah indeed didn't find any on ali. I simply figured, the scroll wheel gets scrolled a lot too, so compared to switches it seemed low. But I suppose the scroll wheel does usually get used a lot less than mouse click. Just wanted to be sure of reliability :)
