In this episode we continue working on the widebody 944 project. We install the Rennbay ball joint kit. Now that control arms are ready to bolt on, we can install our new coilovers and start buttoning the suspension up!

Very helpful. Little jobs like this don't get the video attention they should. Thanks!!!

Even though they don’t get many views, this type of video is super helpful, thank you for making it

Thanks! Yeah - unfortunately the more technical or how-to videos don’t always get a ton of views but I know that I’ve watched a ton of them and they’ve always helped me, so glad to be able to help some others out as well! Thanks for watching!

Had a ball joint failure couple of years back . Didn't want to take a chance with repairs so I went fabcar. 1600 bucks but much peace of mind 😄 good luck with the project!

I JUST did this to mine a few nights ago along with a set of Elephant Racing rubber bushings. The old ones were toast. Install went great, tho! Nice kit.

Nice! It was much easier than I thought it was going to be. I bet the new bushings made a big difference!

Very interesting, I think what you were calling springs are called spiral locks, kind of a multi layer, better version of a snap ring. Thanks!

The one on the retainer was definitely a spirolock. I think they actually called the green retainer on the boot a spring, but I could have screwed that up haha!

without putting much thought into it... how do you replace the ball joints in the future? Is there a solvent for the epoxy?
@BoostBrothersGarage6 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure about a solvent? These are supposed to outlast the originals. With that being said, I haven’t put any miles on them yet so I’m not sure how they hold up. I’d be interested to see how hard that epoxy is and if it could be dug out with a screwdriver or something later.

Boost Brothers Garage that solvent he mentions is a hammer and a small chisel 😄😄😄😄😄

@@artmchugh5644 exactly, epoxi is not something that will dissolve, dremel could be useful..
