I know some Dears don't like hearing this; but one of the reasons why I prefer this version is that Dimash shows how much he progresses and learns over time. His French here is pronounced much better than in The Singer 2017.

He has a great low voice already but it'll be so cool to see him be able to freely sing low notes whenever he wants, as going low obviously isn't as easy for him as singing higher notes right now (when u compare his live performances with studio recordings). Maybe one day he'll be comfortable with doing everything live :)

@@kuhlengesi3333 part of the reason is because it was live at the singer... I appreciate the Slavic bazaar performance a lot but the studio version was used there, so it makes sense for it to not feel "raw". Anyways, tbh the Slavic bazaar feels more epic to me, the vocals were so crisp there 😂

I cry every time during the Singer performance of this song. I don't know if it's because it was the first time I heard Dimash, but there's something special about that performance. The belt towards the end is much more powerful than here, and being a rock and roll girl, that just makes me soar. But hey, I'll listen to him sing this in any venue for any reason.

This is my favourite Dimash SOS performance - the Dimash/Hauser version is probably very close to this level, maybe equal in quality, both deserve to be heard at the gates of heaven. This beautiful song: "SOS d'un terrien en detresse" was written almost 20 years before Dimash was born, but he definitely made it his own. Its authors Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon never knew who they were going to finally compose it for 'cause no one can take it away from this wonderful Kazakh young man any more.

He is 6’3” but sometimes looks small when he is by himself on stage because of a couple of factors. The fit of the suit affects a lot. Here it makes him look smaller than he is, same with what he wore during SOS on the Singer, that choice of suit also made him look short/smaller than he is. Compare that to his Sinful Passion tux where it was better fitted and he looked tall. Also, another factor is he does have a bit of a big-sized head (when someone mentioned this to him , he joked it must mean he has a big brain 🙃), and it affects the overall scale of his entire body. And more importantly he doesn’t have anyone next to him here for our eyes to compare him to. Like he looked not that tall on the World’s Best stage too when he was by himself but when 5’8” James Corden walked up next to him, one realized Dimash’s 6’3” tallness next to James. Ultimately it is all about perspective. 😬 I know this was a long ass reply to a simple question but a few other reactors mentioned the same thing about him looking small when they reacted to this performance, so I wanted to give a proper answer since it has been brought up a few times.

@@edaoguzzz his individual facial features, like his nose and mouth are small and delicate (just like Nicole Kidman has delicate features but has an unquestionably big head), but his head size is most definitely big, which is more evident when he is next to others. Like I said, even he himself acknowledged it in an interview in China and joked "big head means i have a big brain", lol. And there is nothing wrong with it. I only mentioned it because it is relevant to the topic of why he sometimes looks small on stage. It is just one of the factors. Plus, he is tall , so a big head looks normal on a tall man. If he was really short and had a big head, then it would be another thing. But on him it looks fine.

I've met some many people from different lands and cultures, and especially with my love of Slavic languages & culture, its been a great experience for me as well. I got a DNA test back recently and found out that I'm 43% German, 26% Russian (Kaliningrad- with a mix of Finnish blood as well). 25% Irish/Scottish, and 6% Iberian/Colombian/Purvian/Puerto Rican (African mix). I guess it make sense that my DNA influenced my language learning over the years without understanding why, but now I know... :-) I'm currently taking online classes on italki in Czech and Russian, so I'm always trying to improve me knowledge. Whenever the American travel ban is lifted, I'm supposed to move to Prague and attend school to get certified (TEFL) to teach English to foreign speakers, mostly Czech, Russian, and German speakers in the Czech Republic. Hopefully, COVID conditions here in the US will improve at some point and I can start my new life helping others across the world from here....

What makes this better than the Singer version imho is that it sounds less "polished" or processed. It sounds more live and has tiny (very tiny) pitch inaccuracies (is that the word?) which makes it even MORE impressive! He really sings like this live! Without effects!

Отличная реакция! Чистый звук, наверное потому что концертный зал с хорошим звуком, и второе - это скорее всего уже телевизионная версия. Подозревать, что это не живой звук, мне не позволяет сказать, тот факт, что в Белоруссии с 2008 года действует закон, запрещающий использование фонограммы. Ну и соответственно совсем другое исполнение песни после Сингера-2017. ПРиведу одно наблюдение. Концерты Димаша в Краснодаре, Екатеринбурге и в Казани. Песня " Война и мир". Фанкам от MoscowDears. Мне нравится исполнение песни в Екатеринбурге. Песня звучит лучше. Начал читать в интернете про этот зал в Екатеринбурге. Оказывается этот зал считается одним из лучших в России. Вот такое наблюдение...

If it is true the eyes are the windows of the soul, Dimash is certainly one of the most soulful young men on the world stage. His height is made less obvious because his suit jacket is cut short. But you can't disguise the fact he is built like a whippet. Tall, lanky, elegant like say, perhaps a young Frank Sinatra back in the day ---- dressed to kill. And his voice, style, technique is peerless. He is a creature of grace, elegance, and strength like a ballet dancer. His hand and body gestures are classic. This boy could walk a catwalk in a tux and make any James Bond actor cry. Which, btw------ many people have begged for him to do a James Bond movie theme song. I'm ALL about THAT!!!!!

Thank you for such wonderful reactions to Dimash’s songs. If you like his song SOS, there is also a very beautiful version from his Digital show, there are simply amazing effects and lighting. I didn’t find a reaction to the song Stranger on your channel. There are incredibly low notes and Dimash seems to be showing a new level. He also has two new songs, or rather videos, “When I've got you” and “The Story of One Sky”. Just amazing videos in every way. This video is from 2003-2024. Please make reactions to them if possible 🙂
