getting my module Monday... but will combine it with a Turn R20 Wheel -> for me the sweet spot between Formula rims and GT cars (30cm diameter). And my view on the screen is not impaired because the wheel is open on top.

You should mention that one should use Loctite thread locker 242 (medium) and not stronger, or else it will be nigh impossible to undo the bond.

Love your channel, but your audio is hard to listen to as you get closer and further from the mic. Sometime too quiet, sometimes too loud/distorted

Yeah had issues with this video unfortunately. Will try and figure out a solution for next time. The lapel mic I just bought isn’t working out very well.

Good to hear your thoughts about the wheel :) Personally am hoping to see that ITM get rolled out to more rims in future, e.g. a “Podium Formula” (mind you with the CS Formula v2 already pretty well loaded I’m not entirely sure how a Podium-class rim would be able to distinguish itself beyond the display and perhaps the magnetic paddles as standard)

Hey bud amazing vid and review as always. I totally bought the BM rim thanks to your review, and I don't think it was a good idea to watch this lol. Btw, I think your voice was over compressed at some point (5:01 5:20) or maybe just the placement of the mic and movement of your head caused some issue with the ratio and/or release of the compression. Did you notice this?

Yes I noticed. Did my best to normalise the audio in post but the mic got caught up in my shirt so it was varying in volume every time I moved. No opportunity to reshoot for weeks now so just had to do my best.

It depends how involved you intend to get. This is probably overkill for a beginner, but if you intend to get heavily involved, then it may be better to skip the baby steps.

Serious question: Why is the dual clutch cheat? I thought this was widely used in motorsports real life?

Yeah it is widely used in real life, but not as much on sim racing. So most of the people dont have a dual clutch setup, that they cant start that quickly without spinning their tires. Thats why he calls it a cheat, but in fact its not :)

I've noticed your 911 rim and even the gt2 you have look brand new. Are gloves enough to protect them or do you have to periodically clean it?

Hey there, I've got an issue with this wheel, don't know if someone else is experiencing the same problem. After the last update anytime I'm trying to change the brake force settings, that is the last setting on the menu as BRF, the wheel is just getting stuck, can't press anything, so I have to press the power button at the back of the DD base. That will happen every time just on that setting BRF, regardless which of 5 menus I am. I know I can set everything through Fanalab but still this bug is really annoying for such expensive stuff. Update: Took off the Porsche wheel with the podium button module and put my Formula wheel, everything is fine on the tuning menu. Seems that the problem has to do with the podium button module.

Hiya thanks for such a great in-depth review as always based on this I made the purchase, I can not seem to get my display to display multi telementary like you can, My fanalabs does not have a ITM tab like yours, any ideas as it look really cool, im only really racing ACC, thanks keep on the excellent work and stop making me spend all my Monies :P

You need the latest version of Fanalab. There at also be a registry file to run to enable it

Struggling on my decisions to upgrade my G920. Basically sold my amateur radio gear on Ebay so have a good budget to spend. I don't want to buy multiple wheels although your 2020 buying guide has me thinking maybe some lower end ones. However I drive F1 2020, ACC, rFactor2, iRacing ( Nascar, Dirt Oval, GT3), Dirt Rally 2, Forza Horizon. iRacing most used. So was thinking R300 but don't like the lack of buttons. This one has a lot of buttons but concerned about you mentioning a little large for F1. I'm leaning still R300 but is this wheel that bad for F1? Keep in mind I'm making a huge jump from a G920.

I think in your case an R300 with an upgrade to the Button Module Endurance would be ideal if you wanted an all rounder. Otherwise get a formula V2 and a BMW GT2
