Get a halltech intake with the ls3 maf...really made a difference on mine

Yea that’s what sux about prochargers and any other belt driven blower.. so far the only ones that got it right is ess blowers but they only make them for mustangs

Very cool video! That sucks with a porous casting in that new water pump assembly, as long as Summit replaces it for you, that's fine. I think that there was just not enough room under the hood to have that centrifugal blower operate efficiently and keep all the other components cool, too. Great call there, bet you could sell that kit and make some $$$ back! Thanks John!

I have a 99 Firebird formula 5.7 LS1. how did you know what flowkooler water pump to order? 4 different types?

What brand is your new aftermarket radiator ?
@JohnLittlepage3 ай бұрын
Air filter is horrendous, intercooler pipes blocking radiator cooling too
@BoostedMotorsports3 ай бұрын
Yeah it’s definitely not ideal. For a street car or weekend car show setup it’s fine but for hard driving it’s pretty flawed

Have you ever run a Grip Tec pulley before? Would it be better to use the Gates green HD or a Gatorback belt with that pulley?
@BoostedMotorsports3 ай бұрын
Have one on my Challenger Hellcat. The belt craze is a bunch of nonsense IMO especially if you have a griptec its not going to slip
@RolanTHUNDER3 ай бұрын
@@BoostedMotorsports thanks for the reply. That makes sense :) Once I get a Griptec 3.5 or 3.6" for my Vortech AP1 I think I'll just run the new Gatorback I have.

Yes, soon but need to get through this LS Fest prep crunch. Once I get back things will be more laid back and can do lives again 🤘

Go air to water and an ice box. I live in the low desert we are around 100 all summer. I am converting my 20 gallon fuel cell to ice and water box with a Davies water pump with filter. Just a thought. It's added weight but would help
@BoostedMotorsports3 ай бұрын
For drag racing I would do that but that’s not realistic for a track car. We installed an upgraded flowkooler water pump with billet impeller in this video 💪

@@BoostedMotorsports i saw that, totally agreeable. Just finished it up. Excited to see it

Yeah could do that if we wanted to drag race it but we have our challenger hellcat and ram hellcat for the drag stuff. RideTech coilover Suspension is all setup for road course on this one 😁

Wing isn't Esthetically pleasing Plus adding down force to rear decreases nose down force. If that's what your looking for? Removing turbo is gonna be a big hit on power. But it's ur ride.
@BoostedMotorsports3 ай бұрын
1. It’s a chassis mounted wing not a showpiece for car shows 2. The front chassis splitter ADDS down force to the front end to balance the wing 3. It’s not a turbo it’s a supercharger 4. If you know anything about engines HEAT SOAK will pull ignition timing to keep the engine from blowing up from pre ignition and detonation. The amount of heat soak we had it was probably making less power than it will make now all day long. Also this intake manifold and throttle body probably adds another 40-50hp over our old intake setup
