And yes sir folks, here`s another fun video! Thanks for posting this Biff! Great job brother! I live a little east of you (Watkins Glen NY), i`m at the point where i`m looking into getting one of these cabs. Just waiting for them to make one for the BX23s Kubota`s. Winters here in the fingerlakes seem to be getting a little more harsh.... or, maybe i`m just getting to dang old to put up with the cold like i use to. I gave up snowmobiling because it became to harsh on my old bones an muscles, lol. Cheer`s my neighbor, stay warm and safe out there!
@BiffsEquipment3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Larry! I hear ya the cold certainly does effect you more the older you get, my father is the same way it kills his fingers, we are trying to get him into a cab as well. You can buy a cab for yours from them, you just have to get the cab made for the BX2380, as long as you leave the backhoe office once you install the cab it should be fine, then when winter is over you can remove the cab like I do and reinstall your backhoe for the summer. If you end up buying one let me know how it goes!

I was afraid once you touched "Johnny" lightening was gonna strike you. How dare you cheat on your orange baby bx like that. Lol. I am gonna check on getting me a cab similiar to yours for my bx1880. Definately cheaper than the Curtis cabs that are available. I think over $6500 or so. Maybe more counting dealer labor. You have some great mods, so far, but you've still gotta get you some Paul Short mods for your bx. He's the best, imo. I have quite a few from Paul & Kathy Short. Keep those vids coming. GOD Bless.

You have same problem I have on right side how seal shift selector 4 wheel lever. My curtis cab they did not consider this. at 20 degrees it really gets cold their. \\
@BiffsEquipment2 жыл бұрын
Yah I agree, when it’s 20 degrees or colder it can be tough to keep it warm inside the cab. I planned on buying a larger heater this winter for the cab but never did, I’ll get a larger heater for it next year.. regardless tho it’s still way better than not having a cab that’s for sure! Curtis makes some awesome cabs too! I wanted their newest one made by artillian but it’s only for the BX80 series and will not fit the BX70 or older models. Thanks for watching!

Nice comparison of the same cab on two different tractors. Saw your BX fuel fill is inside your cab. How is it accessed for refilling? Didn’t think about that until I saw the fuel fill inside the cab.
@BiffsEquipment3 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! As for the fuel cap I wish I had explained in the video but forgot to talk about it, all you gotta do is open the right side door and you can get right to the fill cap, it’s slightly harder to fill now but it’s honestly not a big deal what so ever. It’s even easier to fill if you have a transfer tank like I do where you can use a nossle with a handle on it. Thanks for watching!

What about those holes drilled in the top for the light wouldn't water drip there?
@BiffsEquipment3 жыл бұрын
It shouldn’t be an issue, the light bar comes with rubber gaskets but I couldn’t use them as the light was barely gonna clear his barn as it was so I didn’t want to make it any taller than I had to.. if it ever did leak (which I doubt it would as the bolts take up the gap) you could always throw a thin bead of Calk around the bolts
@BiffsEquipment3 жыл бұрын
PS. The strobe light on the roof of my own cab didn’t come with any rubber gaskets either and it has never leaked on me, and there was 3 holes I had to drill for that.

Hey. Just wondering what size your trailer is? Trying to figure out the minimum I can get by with to move a BX short distances a couple times a year.
@BiffsEquipment3 жыл бұрын
My trailer is a 5x12 but it’s got a 3500lb axle and I have beefed it up also. It does the job if you don’t own a 60” belly mower because it won’t fit. You’d need a 6x12 to fit that. I also keep my trailer under 50 if I can. Next summer I’m getting a tandem axle

Does the wiring disconnect easily if you want to remove the cab?
@BiffsEquipment3 жыл бұрын
It doesn’t on this one because he never plans to remove his cab, he plans to keep it on Indefinitely but if you want it to be easily removable all you’d have to do is cut the power and ground where it goes in towards the bottom of the cap and splice in an insulated 2 prong connector.. then when you pull the cab off in the summer you’d just simply unplug the wires and lift the cab off (this is what I did with my own cab)
