Oh it sure is! Hopefully it'll only take another 10 hours or less.

Firstly, thanks for taking the time to record all of this for other enthusiasts - this is just a tremendous help. Secondly, what a tease!! Can we just have part 2 already!? Why is the manifold touching the fan shroud? Isn't it built by JDL to accomodate the stock shroud? As far as I know, the fit is incredibly tight with the stock shroud but I wasn't aware it touches the way it was shown in this video.

Thanks I appreciate that! I know there are some difficult aspects of this install so I wanted to clarify those and show how I handled everything that I struggled with during the install process. Haha yeah didn't mean to tease I just wanted to get it out there since some of my friends are also in the install process and could maybe use the help. As I'm writing this the turbo kit is completely finished we're just waiting for the correct tune so the last part will be posted soon! And regarding the fan shroud yes it should accommodate the stock shroud but it doesn't. Could be that my kit came out a little different but in the other videos/images I've seen the turbo is going to be a little too close to the stock fan shroud regardless. It's just better to get a slimmer aftermarket fan shroud than to risk damaging the stock one.

6:28 can someone tell me what tool this is and what size? For removing front crash bar? Drill extension thing? Do you have a link to purchase or a exact name? Thanks 6:28 is the snapshot

Wonder why you have no clearance there. Maybe because I got motor mounts
@MaasMotorsports5 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's strange because the kit says it's bolt on with the factory parts. Even with the Mishimoto fan shroud it's still pretty tight.

Really appreciate the video. This is the exact setup that I want to have on my car. Hope we get some more of the "how to install this kit video" since I'd like to get this kit for DIY install in near future.

Thank you!! My goal with this series is to show you everything that I struggled with, how to overcome those issues, and some best practices. There will definitely be more videos showing the rest of the install, driving footage, and an overall review of the kit a few months after driving it daily. You can totally do it yourself and hopefully this video series addresses some concerns that could be difficult to find solutions for.

Hey Justin, that's a 24 inch ratchet extension attached to a 12mm socket (pretty sure it's 12mm can't remember the exact size).
@ryanmaas_4 жыл бұрын
@@Justin_Jnado can't remember the size but it's a normal metric socket probably like 8mm or something. The tool is a screwdriver handle with a 1/4 inch socket attachment. No worries man, not stupid at all everyone starts somewhere! I'd be lost if I didn't have my dad to help guide me.
