Boost good video. However, you got the explanation of the Catalyst wrong. You said it reduces the CO2 emissions. It actually increases CO2 emissions. It decreases C0(Carbon Monoxide), unburned Hydrocarbons, and NOx emissions by converting those byproducts of combustion into CO2.

So is catless 3” better than catted like realizability ?

So many people overspinning their turbos - replacing turbos is not cheap!! Thanks for posting.
@itz_damian34483 жыл бұрын
What cause that
@Jay-pi7gf3 жыл бұрын
The parts of the q50/q60 exhaust create a back pressure for the turbos. This back pressure acts like a safety for turbo RPM. (Preventing them from spinning so fast that they damage themselves. ) With straight pipes, the turbos can spin much faster than designed - causing excessive wear and possibly early failure. 1 high flow cat for each exhaust line should keep you in the good range. If you are going to go full catless I would recommend not going over 2.5 inch pipes for the best balance of reliability and power. Also - when your turbos are over boosting, that is a big cause of “slow shifting”

Hey guys Q60RS owner PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do your mods right. Don’t cheap out on ANYTHING. Building a car takes time and doesn’t need to happen overnight. Unnecessary things like BOVs and Catch cans can save your entire builds life. I’m about $7,000 deep on mods that aren’t installed yet because I want reliability

Going catless will NOT alter the O2 reading used for ATF ratio. There are two sets of O2 sensors per side, one sensor before cats and another after cat. The computer uses the one pre-cat for the ATF reading, and the last one to monitor the catalytic's performance. I do not agree with 90% of the rest but I won't get into it. Sad to see how people believe anything they watch online.

I’m planning on going Catless fulls but def getting tuned right after install and pairing that bov to hopefully save this set of turbos (bonestock 16 q50 vr30 started lightly blowing white smoke took to dealer under warranty and had both replaced) so thankfully I’m going into tuning with a fresh set. No when you change gears change the boost spikes because no diverter valve
@jaydubb713 жыл бұрын
@@BoostInMotion every AUTOMATIC turbo car will spike on FULL THROTTLE gear change, unfortunately. Examples... First... Back in the 90s, my boy had a MKIII Supra. We installed an HKS boost controller (EVC2 or 3... Can't remember). Flat (normal) shift didn't cause a boost spike but POWER SHIFTS did. Like 2 to 3 psi IIRC. Second example... I'm tuning a 88mm turbocharged 6.2 liter Chevy Trailblazer SS. 8 to 9 psi. When the gear changes at WOT (wide open throttle), the boost spikes to 14 (YIKES!!!). Torque management is probably exaggerating the problem because of the timing retard on the shift (excessive timing retard raises the temp of the exhaust coming out of the engine and turbos LOVE HEAT) and causing the boost spike to be bigger. I'm thinking of disabling the torque management on the TBSS but I'm sure this can't be done on the Q50 without breaking something. Oh... Third example... Same buddy with a MKIII Supra had a Grand National. Same deal. Boost spikes on shifts. And a diverter (blowoff) valve only opens when the throttle is closed and vacuum is applied to the diaphragm in the blowoff valve. Unfortunately, the Q50 doesnt come with one from the factory. I think a blowoff valve MIGHT help extend the life of the stock turbos. Life, not performance. Lol
