From their site this package is : "Red Alpha Cold Air Intake System, Red Alpha Heat Exchanger, Red Alpha Full Downpipes, Red Alpha High and Low Pressure Fuel Pumps, EcuTek Bluetooth Kit, the RA 500 E85 Tune. I'm not sure if they left the exhaust out of this package but it sounds like you need a heat exchanger, downpipes, fuel pumps and an e85 tune to make closer to 500whp.

@@Unplugged704 the low boost vr30 is mechanically identical to the RS in everyway except boost pressure. the RS has turbine speed sensors but the low output engine also has the capability to monitor shaft speed, it just does it differently.

Being that it's a liquid/air and not a Air/Air. I would say yes it's OK to wrap them to prevent heat soak. But then again it being liquid, it could possibly force the intercoolers to retain heat more. Since some air flow over the metal bodies could pull heat away too. I'm also genuinely curious as to what AMS has tested. I always been iffy with heat exchangers.

Do you guys see any issues long term on cars at this power level with no blow off or bypass valves? I have essentially the same setup as your RA 500 package and currently making like 450/530 whp/wtq. Basically as much power as I can make on the stock turbos right now, but I don’t have BOVs. Initially my tune was setup so the throttle doesn’t close immediately to try and save on the thrust bearings in my stock turbos until I’m ready for Stage 2’s but at times that got a bit hairy because the car wanted to keep pushing for a half second after you let off from WOT. So now I’m setup so when I get off the pedal the TB closes immediately but I know all that pressure going back to the turbos can’t be good. Especially considering the stock boost level on a Pure/Luxe is like 8psi and a RS is like 14 but I’m running around 18psi now. This is the only turbo car I’ve ever had with no blow off or bypass setup so it’s new to me. I did start running 5w30 rather than the 0w20 hoping that would help a bit.

So what is AMS' stand on BOV's? They're not in any of your packages and from recent talk in the forum's, they're not needed and said to be detrimental to the VR30 platform by many tuners. The red Q50 didn't appear to have them and the blue Q60 did. Did these 2 cars have the exact same builds, except for the BOV's? 20HP difference between the two cars on the dyno.

That's a good question! Depends on your application, how you want to use the car. Me personally, I would go with AWD. I would say we work on a decent mix of both AWD and RWD, possibly leaning more towards RWD. For you, how would you want to use the car? That will inform which would be a better choice for you

E85 is a type of fuel. Premium gas (typically 91 or 93 octane) is also a type of fuel. If you are asking if you are able to use premium gas in a car tuned to take E85, it’s not ideal. The spark timing is completely different as well as a host of other factors that not only reduce efficiency but also may put parts of the car in jeopardy. If you’re planning on only running E85 and have reliable access to it anywhere you go, then go ahead. Otherwise, just go for a 91/93 tune (which is what I recommend for most people wanting power) or a flex fuel tune if you so desire.

Yeah - had a snow storm at the grand canyon, walked out to my Z, and surprise 3-5" of fresh snow... was fun going 25mph doggin it in 3rd gear for 2 hours in worn down ps4s tires... never again!! Learned that if you see 10-15% humidity in the forecast during the winter = be prepared. I suspect the horrible winter behavior of the 370z on snow has to do with being staggered and the rear differential... easily the worst vehicle I've ever delt with in the snow... my $800 pos mazda college student vehicle did much better, and it was a total $hitbox.

Simple driveshaft upgrade and billet flexplate and it’ll hold up fine. The 7AT might not be a DCT but it’s relatively strong till around 750whp 530-550wtq

Basically the same except red sport has an extra intercooler pump and sensors on the turbo to protect it. That's why all that base models are blowing up because these kids are running map 4 jb4 lol
