Changing the door opening direction on a Miele washing machine

How I modified a Miele W1 WMB120 WCS washing machine door to open the other way. Took about one hour.

Hi Boots, have watched your videos for a while but don't comment often. Loved your MacGyver job on the Miele - don't understand about the negative comments; nothing wrong with a bit of fun washing machine modding! Just use an RCD and aqua stop hose if really worried about something happening. I have retrofitted other parts to our dedicated Ecobubble Nappy Washing Machine which makes it work much better! I have definitely seen a Miele model out there that did have a right side opening; that would explain some of the symmetrical parts existing. If I come across it again, I'll post the model number for you. Thank you for the video.

not being negative you have altered the machine as it was not intended or tested for it may work but its not designed to be altered that way

You are being negative, and you are right, but I have done it and it does look like all apart from the wiring loom, lock override cable and plastic cover are supposed to flip. so I flipped it!

obviously not meant to be done as no emergency door opening, how are you going to get the front off cable not designed to be moving fixed to the tub! if your doing this for someone else you have left yourself wide open if something goes wrong!
