Moved my beko heatpump into a shed a few months ago as nowhere to put it in our new house, surprisingly it works well even in like 2 degree temps, does take a bit longer but nowhere near what I thought it would

They don't work well in a cold place, I moved mine to the kitchen ,worked fine

Owen, heads up, when using the thermal camera the sound goes almost dead, cheers

Weird Andy, when I play it back on YT or the original it is ok. I think the audio is mono, only left or right for the thermal bits, so maybe your playbacks is turned to the other, either left or right?

@@bootsowen Just tried it with head phones, now clear audio on one side, that's my problem then, cheers

The heat pump isn’t working properly, i can tell you why. I’ve had this too with my dryer and I’m a technician. The reason why it doesn’t dry properly is because it isn’t extracting the moisture from the clothes due to the refrigeration circuit is leaking refrigerant. After a certain time, the heat exchanger is affected by corrosion, causing refrigerant to leak. This corrosion is caused by the accumulation of detergent and fabric softener from the clothing, which damages the aluminium heat exchanger over time. The constant warming up and cooling down again of the heat exchanger also has effect on the life of the heat exchanger. The aluminium is getting weaker and weaker by constantly warming up and cooling down again with each cycle. All this reasons are why your dryer isn’t heating up properly, and why your condenser isn’t cold to cool down the moist air. And why the dryer is taking hours and hours to dry. A correct functioning heat pump dryer, must dry a full load of clothes spun at 1600 RPM in the washing machine, within maximum 2 hours, not any longer.

Cool, so how can I fix it?
@tolgaturhan2069Ай бұрын
@ it can’t be fixed as there is a leak. This dryer is total loss. To get this fixed you need to find the leak, repair it so it is a hermetically sealed circuit again, vacuum the system to get all the air and moisture out of the compressor and coils, and then recharge R134A refrigerant. If you’re a HVAC technician you can do it, otherwise not. you have to ask yourself if you want to put the time and effort and expense into this machine to get it working again considering the age of the machine. Now I don't know how old this machine is, but if it is, so to speak, 6 years old, it is no longer worth it to me to have to incur a lot of costs for repairs, and the time and effort. and put energy into it.

Heat pumps are rubbish take a minimum of 4 hours to dry and towels will never be fully dry. You can’t beat an old fashioned vented dryer
@bekofanАй бұрын
Unfortunately you never used a Aeg Protex dryer, that cam get up to 65 in a cold rpm And dry towels very well

IDK. I have a condenser dryer, and people used to say the same thing about them.. While it does take longer to dry, it doesn't take a lot longer. People from the USA seem to worry a lot about their precious minutes (which they later waste watching TikTok videos)
