My soles wore out in just over a year. I wore them quite a bit in the city. The leather was still really good, so I watched a few KZbin videos, bought a pair of crepe vibram soles I liked, a can of Barge contact cement, ground off the old sole, voila, and 2 yrs later I still love ‘em.

They have impressive leather we got to give it that. I have seen resole videos the uppers still don't crease! It is good nubuck leather.
@NonLegitNation28 ай бұрын
did you happen to watch the "Trenton and Heath" resole, lol? I rewatched a few days ago because I just started wearing these boots again after taking them out of storage where they sat for a year. I disagree with the reviewer here. I think a proper resole and getting a leather midsole on them would pay off in the long run. Instead of having to buy new boots every few years because if the cheap/soft Timberland sole, get a resole and a proper Vibram rubber sole and they will last years longer between resoles, which would be possible with a proper leather midsole.

I just got my Earthkeeper "Originals" today & I absolutely love em'. I wear a size 11.5 & when I tried them on they fit me perfectly. My brother has the Earthkeeper²'s which look almost identical to the my "original" however they have a "Nature needs heroes" tag stitched on the inside of the tongue of his boots. His boots ran a half size bigger, although we both wear an 11.5, he had too add another insole to fit perfectly to his foot. We both love out Timbs 🥾👍🏼

I love these boots. I usually buy shoes a full size up because I have wide feet, but they were on sale a 1/2 size up & took a chance because I really liked the look. They ended up being too big when I got home and was disappointed, but decided to put my spare pair of shoe orthotics in them to try it and they now fit perfect. They are comfortable, you can dress them up or down equally and people will compliment you on the look. With regards to the speed hooks, yes it is maybe an extra 30 seconds to put on which doesn't seem like much for two boots, but you do notice it. At the same time, it makes it look more dressy and that's what gives this boot the ability to dress-up.
@NonLegitNation28 ай бұрын
I don't even lace mine up all the way. The top of the boot is covered by my jeans so there isn't really a reason to lace them all the way up. I leave the last two holes on each side unlaced. I even went ahead and bought some shorter laces because the included laces are ridiculously long even when laced up all the way to the top. Also, fun fact: I didn't even know these were nubuck. I had so much conditioner on them that they looked like smooth leather. I've had this same pair of boots for 6yrs and didn't realize they were nubuck until I stripped all the conditioner off a few weeks ago because they were over-conditioned.

I really like these boots. I got lucky and found a pair at my local Goodwill for 19.00 dollars, almost new condition they do run big. I wear a 9 to 9.5, and these are a 9, but they feel like 10, so I had to add an extra insole. Now they're perfect. After all, I only paid 19.00 for them, and so far as speed hooks go, Diy, and buy some from Amazon for a few bucks 5 to 8. I just did. Great video. These boots are priced at 170 now since this video, so God really blessed me with a great deal.

Timberland is really annoying with their sizes I wish they would fix this. My foot is 10.5 inches measured heel to big toe so I fit 11 perfectly in most brands. Timberland is always half size smaller in their Timberland pro boots and regular boots but then their shoes are hit and miss. I ordered groveton online in 10.5 but was in the store earlier and their 11 fits me perfectly normal in the groveton but other shoes are 10.5 like man it's frustrating.

I'm from Memphis. I have more or less the same weather as you. I have a pair of Earthkeepers. I do not wear them every day, though I bought them with the entent to do so. They just aren't the shoe I need. I think this is mostly due to the sizing issue. I wear a size 12. I should have gotten these in a size 11. I work in the Supply Chain industry. I do a lot of walking, a lot of lifting, a lot of driving for deliveries and pickups. I am usually walking on concrete/pavement, though I do from time to time venture into light off-road environments. From time to time I have to climb ladders and such. I deal with pallets of medium-heavy materials. I drive a forklift from time to time. Some of my work is laborious in short intervals, but it isn't like construction where it's hard manual labor for hours and hours. I also spend a lot of time at my desk with data entry. My work is about 50% Desk, 30% Warehouse/Stock Rooms, 20% in the City. I say this because as a teacher, your work duties may require you to be on your feet all day--or however you work typically. The sizes of the Earthkeepers are indeed too big. The material of the shoe is comfortable and flexible. I like it a lot, actually. The shoes themselves are surprisingly light considering the way they look. Unfortubately, they're all style, and not much substance. They have the look, but they don't perform the way their look implies they ought. No internal lining means they do not fair very well in the cold. The lack of proper stitching gives way to water. Stepping in a decent sized puddle will give you a bad day. I would go with the Captains. If you enjoy the rugged look of the Earthkeepers, you can get the Stormking Soles for the Thursday Boots. Reason being is they're roughly the same price, but the Thursday Boots actually have the advantage of being functionally useful for the thing they actually look like they're meant to be for.
@DeeboComing2 жыл бұрын
@@RaiceGeriko So I got the Captains and I'm in Indy right now for a convention where I've been walking literally everywhere. Gotta say, I'm super satisfied with the purchase.
