Easily your best video so far. It’s great to see how you’re overcoming unknowns and adapting to the situation.

Thanks mate. I wasn’t going to do a video for the border as I was tired! I hope it doesn’t show lol

I was tempted to go but I heard it’s about 7 hours by bus! I think I’m going to stay here until I get the ferry :)

Can you tell how did you book the bus ticket or anyway to book them in adavance?
@olderbackpackerАй бұрын
If you watch the video, I just turned up at the bus station and bought the ticket. I think you can book them in advance at the bus station. You could try the app 12GO Asia?

You will expect more chaotic environment in Indonesia, like previous post said welcome to Mexico version of the US border.

@@olderbackpacker Great !, be safe, most Indonesians are friendly just be cautious, few bad apples think you bring a ton of money from UK, and will charge you like you are a King of England. 😁I grew up in Indonesia, have been to Malaysia and living in the US. Take care buddy.

Worst Customs experience I had was 1989 driving from Canada into U.S. They brought me into their office to fill out a 3 page questionnaire while sniffer dog and customs agent searched my car. Most recent frustrating experience was Oct 2023 flying out of Canada to Taiwan. I didn't have an E-Travel questionnaire done on line. I'm curious if you require E-Travel flying to Java?

US customs are a strange bunch, even when people are transiting through America! I think now that I’ve paid £25 for my Indonesian Visa on Arrival, that’s me allowed to go anywhere within Indonesia, even getting the ferry from here to the mainland! I hope so anyways :)
