Here in Australia we have new laws. Now, if you come from a country that will not accept you back if you commit a crime or illegally enter, no one else from that country will get any kind of visa to come here. Its a blanket ban. Also, illegals are not process onshore, but are kept in custody at either Manus Island or Nauru. Recently an audit of people here in student visas, 50% were either not studying or were using a bogus college that has been set up by dodgy immigration agents. Even if you complete your studies, you cannot apply for a visa to stay. You have to return home and apply for a visa in the normal way. Student visa applications have since dropped by 60%, demonstrating what a scam it was.

Cleaning up is difficult if there isn't somewhere to do it. For trash, having a place to put the trash is a luxury. For hygiene it's a substantial luxury based on where the camp is and what sort of amenities are nearby. It's worse because your nose often becomes numb to it, so you don't even know you smell bad anymore.

It's too easy to be illegal in the UK. No one asks for your id, not even the NHS. That's what makes the UK such a popular destination. You can even leave the UK under your real name, go on holiday to the country you said your were fleeing from, and return to the UK. No questions asked.

Perhaps various leaders of connected countries (Canada, US, & Mexico) could work out a plan to get immigrants to areas where they're needed--agricultural workers, plant workers to manufacturing areas, etc. Dumping thousands in big cities where workers have educations and skills is just a waste of everyone's time and money.

Im in Canada and we already do take in temporary foreign workers to work on farms etc but in the recent years we havent had much work for them so have had to cut down on the numbers.

Because there are several types of visas depending on what you are going to do in UK. A work permit is more difficult to get than a study permit. If you get a study permit to go to work, it's not fair and you're breaking the rules, not to mention potentially stealing a UK resident's job. That's why they care.
