If you have the dlc where you can do the round by round survival in the preserve, you can start there and significantly reduce the time it takes for you to get to the loot room.

The most important part is to NEVER pick up anything for the "Doctor's Orders" quest. There are four four echoes to pick up, and for every one of them there is a box in the loot midget room. If you have four echoes on the map, you are assured to get four loot midgets. If you pick up the one in the box in that room, it will lower your loot midgets to three on the next run. Whatever you do, do not ever pick up the echoes.

no, when your on a lower level or a lower mode, the drops will be a little hard, but people just farm on higher modes and levels because it drops more, when your on UVHM you can get these faster

Doing this method on UVHM makes the loot loaders have the Legendary prefix, Pretty much means that 100% of the time you'll get a Legendary.

It still works but it has a chance to decrease the amount of midgets that spawn. If you pick one up go to dashboard or exit without saving (depends on your platform) and go back in

Kill the midgets, log out of the game, get back in. It also has a chance to drop pearlescent weapons if you are playing on max difficulty.

Another tip for this is to go into that Natural Selection Annex (where you get Moxxi's RPG). Then when you go back into the WEP, finish the quest. Save, quit, continue. Now you'll start in the NSA every time, which saves a lot of time for repeating this over and over.

You can open the box with the echo device in it as well for an additional loot midget. Increased my legendary chance even more. Works perfectly as long as you do not pick up the device.

u can't touch anything related to either quest. I made the mistake of pulling a switch and freeing a creature. I was careful not to touch any notes but didn't think about the switches, boxes were opened next time through.

I've done this 5 times and haven't gotten anything. My friend did this and only got oranges once he started killing pimon and tumba on his way to the room with the weapon box and loot midgets. Am i doing something wrong? I haven't completed the quest/turned it in. I know some farming missions take a long time to get good weapons but you said "one out of two times". Also if you have the Creature Slaughter add on, you can save and quit from there as this cuts the mission time in half and you start off at the Vending machines inside the Preserve. As I said in another reply, the quest has to be active and DO NOT pick up any of the echo recorders as this will reduce the number of Loot midgets that spawn also I think it was a hot fix/patch so you have to be online for it to work.

Thanks for uploading this video. I have played Borderlands for a long time, but never was too serious about it. My friend and I found this video very helpful! So far, though, it seems E-tech relics are dropped exclusively (~75% rate). Haven't had any legendary or very rare loot other than that. Is it unlikely we'll get legendary/very rare weapons on UVHM?

It isn't a good idea, because at low levels you will level up quickly and soon your legendary will become weak. Farming at higher levels is better as u can keep the legendaries for a longer time.

Does this still work, because I though that I screwed myself over by finishing the quest before I learnt about it, but I have just learn about TVHM, and UVHM by finishing the game just recently and this is something that I definitely wan to take advantage of, I actually never even opened these before when I did the quest on normal mode so I never would have known about this if it wasn't for your video and some other, so thank you, I just hope that it till works. KackisHD, it's true what you said about the "loot midgets" legendary drops but I've been farming for over the course of 2 days and it'd seems that the majority of legendary drops were grenades, rockets, and sniper rifles. the most common drops for sniper rifles is the Volcano sniper rifle. In all, I'd say 80% of the time the drops are legendary grenades. As some of you may have noticed, there's just times when you'd do a farming run for 10+ times straight with no legendary drops. if this occur you may need to reset the game. sometimes the drop rates somehow glitch itself into a no drop mode. don't ask me how that had happened. One time, I farmed the loot midgets 20+ times in a row with no legendary drops.

+Dylan Kane when farming 10+ times in a row with no drops, my version of "reset" is to unboard the game by clicking the start button then simply just exit back to the game menu without saving. I think by doing it the drop rate probability in the game has some how reset itself. kind of like re-shuffling in a card game. it's never been proven but it does seem to work...or maybe it's just coincidence and luck. just so you know, 70% of the time, legendary drops are grenades, relics, and sniper rifles. with the newest Borderlands2 edition i think the variety drop rates has increase. So if anyone is sick of farming the Warrior for the "Conference call" the loot midgets farming has a very high chance of dropping the conference call shotgun. I got 5 different types of "conference call" shotgun from loot midgets farming.

Only one issue with this. If you bought the season pass all Legendaries will be underleveled unless you are playing in UVHM. The best way to play Borderlands 2 is to buy the game AND Scarlett DLC only (for seraph crystals) then get to level 50. Then go ahead and get all DLC except the UVHM dlc. Farm more crystals and eridium. Once you have maxed out eridium and seraph crytals THEN get the UVHM dlc. Why? Because the second you get UVHM dlc (season pass or seperate) it becomes the ONLY mode in which seraph crystals will drop and the only mode to make farming eridium viable. The game is a little broken due to this. It makes you play UVHM even though you may enjoy TVHM more

You gotta have Doctor's Orders and make sure not to collect things for the quest and just get to the room (People find that if u kill all the enemies to open the door the more midgets will spawn) also I think u gotta be on uvhm idek xD i've only got 2 legendaries every from them so meh farming the actual droppers is alot ezr also if u want a weapon get a gamesave and just see if it has that legendary (idk if this helps just saying random stuff)

I am playing handsome collection on my PS4 I have done it about 15 times and I have had only one legendary which was the hornet so you might have to keep trying (I was only getting about 1 loot Midget per two runs so I don't think it's that effective on PS4)

My cash is over $5 million and my eridium has been maxed out. I wonder if that is it? I also just run past trash instead of stopping to fight and havnt been doing any side quests just farming? i tried to do this strategy i didnt get any legendary aldo i got one from tombaa But still After a while of Farming the Midget stop spawning even with Save and exit and i still the side quest ongoing but not completed i just grab 1 Echo by accident

I used to do that and in one of my attempts to get legendaries I got 2 hellfires and a hornet... THAT WAS AWESOME!

Is it normal that I got a Hornet the first time I fought Knuckledragger, and a Baby Maker the first time I fought that blue Varkid for TT? I'm guessing it's not :D

I farmed Savage Lee for an Unkempt Harold yesterday for like 5 hours. I got like 6+ Unkempt Harolds. Literally only one single (terrible stats) DPUH. Gonna keep going to find a good one hopefully x-x
