Probably because true Unlimited Legendary is called HAX. This is just one of the ways to relatively legitimately(within game boundaries kind of exploit) farm coloured stuff. If you want a "Pray to RNGesus" tag in every farming video that says "Legendary farming" - it's your concern.

You need to hand in the first story mission and then a second mission that lets you fight the leviathan and loot the treasure room again (you have to do the lighthouse bit again too) appears on the billboard in Oasis. Finish this mission but don't hand it in and the leviathan should reappear. This way you can unlock the raid boss and still have the treasure room open to you too.

before entering the room turn on a second controller, go in there with the second controller and grab the weapons you want save and exit on 2nd controller. exit game thru ps menu on first controller without saving on 1st controller. then you can turn the game back on and do multiple runs. a little bit easier method instead of climbing the monster and then you have more storage

Even easier way to do this, loot the treasure room with a buddy the first time. If you get anything good have your buddy hold on to it, then save and quit. You (As the host) dashboard, alt F4 or turn off your console (What ever system you're on, just quit without saving) You're buddy keeps the loot and the treasure room doesn't lock.

You don't have to when you beat the leviathon, but you can go back later and do the glitch because you can't go back through the door. The key is even though the leviathon appears to be gone, he's actually still there, (there's a technical term for this , but can't remember) if you walk across how this video shows, you can keep going back over and over. There are other videos that show you how to do it, which you should check out because it is a bit tricky.

I have been doing this glitch the last few hours so I can say it does work on the xbox 360. If you have turned the quest in there is a 2nd quest of it on the board in oasis. Also it does have a shot at legendary gear. Thanks for posting this helped out TONS.

I can confirm it works on PC, March 2016, last steam version. The jumping part is a bit random, but I generally get when it is corner to a bit left, the running on the air as he said, dont overshoot, stop before the wall. Then going inside it is easier for me, I can see already the other room and I just run to there (no need for the triangle). Anyway, the loot is pretty random, first time I got an legendary weapon on a normal rectangular box, whereas the other boxes were mostly blue and green. The problem is that you continue locked in this area unless you follow the TURN IN. So, looting and repeating this and most of the times is a bit boring because most of the times we dont find any legendary. I wonder if we can repeat this later after turning in...

For those wondering if it's patched it's not at all, also a very fast way of getting up is aiming at a certain corner of the edge. (look it up in sure there's more than one video explaining it) I've gotten three legendaries and guaranteed purples everytime. Thanks for the video man this kicks ass.

A new way to do it for 360 console 1. Have a USB stick formatted for saving 2. Have a friend or another profile 1. Once you have defeated the boss, it auto saves (say to the hard-drive) 2. Go to options and change storage device to the USB stick (So now any saving will go on The USB) 3. Now your friend or Other profile can now go & loot the vault (once finished looting save & quit). 4. Now return to title and select the hard drive and reload your game. Then redo step 2. Once you have enough looting, and want to come back later you can As long as you don't go near the vault once loaded, just exit to oasis, and to return just fast travel to scarlet ship, you'll get eaten straight away.

And by the way, their is an easier way to do this. Save after you kill him but before you enter the room. Then restart and have a friend join you. You will enter like he is about to battle you but then die. You can just walk into the room. Open all the boxes and have your friend keep the good ones. Then have them quit and you hit alt f4. It quits the game without saving. Restart it and you will be ready to go into the room again. Works on all farming rooms.

I have done this after turning in the mission on UVHM. Did it 38 times and got 7 orange and 1 pearlescent which is better than 20% chance. Best I have seen!

much easier way: before beating it the first/second time: do all steps up to killing and saving with the leviathan defeated. have another controller/a friend who can join. have the 2nd player (if 2nd controller, choose offline prof and create new character each time) run into the treasure room, open chests, get loot. once you have the loot, host dashboards if its a friend or have the 2nd player save and quit, then the first player dashboards. I got 4 legendaries doing this.

Other than the invisible flipper and the corner, the rest of the hit areas are glitch. If you fall, chances are you're running a bit to the left or the right. Takes a while to get it right.

Because the drop rate is much higher than other ways of obtaining legendary weapons. With perseverance you are almost guaranteed to obtain a legendary.

The way Borderlands 2 explains its weapon rarity is White, Green, Blue, Purple, Orange. When Grandma Burps, Patrick Obeys. That is the main rarity scale not including E-tech, Pearlescent, and Seraph.

The treasure room has a pretty good chance to spawn the legendary class mods for all characters so if you don't do terra at 61 give the treasure room a shot.

That glitch is really awesome but once you are there, you will have to do it over and over again. Once you go outside or somewhere else the body will be gone and only a friend that hasn´t completed the mission yet can help you get inside his body.

As of June 3, 2015 this glitch works fine on Xbox One. Very easy to do, and the loot payout is tremendous. The way I'm doing it is accept the mission to go into the treasure room the second time and then save and quit and start farming

Can confirm this works in 2019 on Xbox. If you fall to your death just save and exit and try again. The invisible walls seem to fix themselves after you fall.

i have a way to do it perfectly every time max 3-6 jumps, if u see the line down u were jumping, the line that change color from gray to brown or something, there is a black spot... if u point the end of the left line of the crossair on that spot, i guarantee u can grab elevator faster than everything

I do this run all the time, but you do get a legendary after every 2-3 runs, which is fine, and rest of the guns are as usual according to your level. A bit irritating sometimes and sometime smoother then hot knife on butter.

ok so for one thing, there's not a lot of point in not fighting the boss ag if you're not max level. for another, there's no such thing as gold items in borderlands aside from the keys. the highest rarity is orange.

This works but what u do is travel to the leviatgians lair and kill ur self so u spawn inside it's body, then u kill roscoe and kill the leviathian and climb on his body and do the elevator glitch and jump over to a cliff and go to the treasure room, look for more info on the elevator glitch cuz it's hard to do

I refined this last night. If you always start the jump while crouching, you will get it almost instantly. I couldn't kill this guy at lvl 61 so I farmed a Bee shield and finally took him down. Up to 53 million dollars but no legendary yet.

I farmed this for 1 and a half hours on UVHM (ultimante vault hunter mode with the highest chances to get legendaries) and i got 3 that i allready had a thunderball fist,a bonus package,and a legendary phsyco class mod. had a better tunder ball,a stormfront which is wayyy better that a bonus package and i dont even have the dlc for a psycho. i have the worst luck
