"Moliceiro", porque serviam para transportar o moliço ( algas marinhas) que eram usadas para alimentar os terrenos agrícolas. Eram barcos à vela, não a motor como são agora para transportar turistas e eram às centenas.

@@millionplacesoneworld Taking a break from Chicago and heading to Portugal every month is really something else. It's like stepping into a whole new world of peace and calm, away from Chicago’s problems. The thing that stands out the most about Portugal? It's got to be the vibe of the people there. Everyone seems so relaxed and welcoming, making you feel right at home. The food is another thing! For me, it’s the Cape Verdean dishes. I just discovered them and they're amazing. The flavors are so rich and varied - it's like a burst of Portugal's cultural diversity in every bite. The whole experience, from the beautiful scenery to the warm people and fantastic food, just fills you with this inner peace and happiness. It's pretty cool, isn't it? LOL. Oh, and guess what? I got my NIF number and because I noticed that some small vendors and restaurants only accept euro or cards issued by banks in Portugal, I opened a bank account there. You won't believe it, but my card arrived here in Chicago in less than a week. Plus, I found out about Cacilhas from your KZbin channel. I've been going to this affordable restaurant on the waterfront called, 'CACILHAS O FAROL - 1890'. You should check it out sometime. Also, I'm almost done with my book, '72 Hours In Lisbon.' I've even snagged the website domain '72hoursinlisbon.com' for it!" Thanks again for your outstanding work!!

Bom Dia Andrejs, I look forward to exploring Aveiro one day. Must remember not to go in the water! Eels… eek! Tat would have freaked me out… you have to wonder how it got there and I’d like that. Boa tarde Jen, I think with recent storms and waves - eel got in the wrong place, wrong time 🫤 I think I will agree on that about taste of eels, we have them also in Latvia, but much bigger, like that one on the beach and they are fresh water eels, I'm not sure about these. Never tried them back home and I think I will leave eels alone for a while😁 Will stick to sardines 🇵🇹 Thank you for you comment once again 🖐

Mas há tanta coisa gostosa na cozinha portuguesa.... não foi à toa que o TasteAtlas awards colocou a gastronomia portuguesa na quarta posição! E depois, a doçaria, é outro departamento . Abraços!
