BorgWarner EFR 7670 & 8374 Turbochargers - Quick Specs

I have an 7670 IWG and i'd like to upgrade to an 8374. Would these rear housings be interchangeable if I milled out the turbine housing to 74mm?

I mean, sure, if you can machine out the turbine housing and both of them are B2 frame. Then I don't see why not.

do you have any adapter that can convert flanges from K16 triangle to T4 to mount an EFR on a Volvo 3.0 inline T6 ?

I am also thinking about putting a 7670 AR .83 on my volvo t6. What would be your choice on turbo?

Same in looks, but the machining for the wheel contours and aerodynamics is different. Meaning one housing will not fit the other.

Are the hot side housings interchangeable? I have one of each but one in internally gated and the other is externally

For the same turbine wheel EFR, yes, so if you have a (2) 63mm housings and want to swap them onto your 7163, 100%. If you have a 58mm housing, it will not swap onto a 7163, it would only work on a 6258/6758. If that makes sense?

@@TurboKitscom got you, i have one housing off a 7670 and one off an 8374. The reason for me to swap is the manifold i have is for an internal wg but the housing on my 8374 is for eternal wg.

@@Gilligan.Garage Ahhh, yes, we understand, they need to have the same turbine wheel in order for the housing swap to work... Let us know if you need to order just a turbine housing. Thanks!
