Paul Chowdhry on Taskmaster is one of the funniest things on the show. You don't see it much in this clip, but his highlights include 'Surprise Alex,' 'Build a snowman,' 'Fill this egg cup with your own sweat' and 'Buy a gift for the taskmaster.'

Paul Chowdhry is so not funny. All he does is jokes about his race. Typical channel 4 leftie garbage.

So in the US if your anaesthetist gets burgled, it's "Our anaesthesiologist was burglarized"

You know they say 'acclimated' too? I will never ger acclimatised to that

1:35 If you ask "What's not your job?" he can in fact only list one thing which is his actual job, but fortunately he's not allowed to talk.

And how does he do that by just nodding or shaking his head 😂😂

An interesting and enjoyable one . Al was a lot of fun in this series , one of the best ever series of Taskmaster . Dave , Rob , Sarah and Paul all had different ways of approaching tasks . Hugh was a very good sport , especially with the dad comments , and helped make this a classic .

I’d actually really like to see you guys react to one of your own earlier reactions, particularly an early wilty Bob Mortimer one.

English tends to be more succinct in terminology where as USA-ians like to be seen and known so tend to resort to the use of pleonasm in their terminology.

Hey Nick. I've had two 5-hour brain surgeries in the last 15 months with no anaesthetist required - no sedation at all, in fact! Admittedly, there was one standing by, so I get your point, Nick, I suppose...

You Americans. -ologist means studier of. So that would be the guy in the side lines while the real guy pumps up the gas.

Well I guess you never stop learning. So technically it’s still correct

An ologist would be someone who studies a subject academically, but does not practice it. So as usual, America gets it wrong. Only kidding. Anesthesiologist is wrong though. ;-)

I'm confused, the way you described a custodian made it sound like a school caretaker, but you call them janitors, here custodian isn't a job, but it could be used to describe a jailer or prison guard.

No, a janitor cleans the toilets

don't all doctors make great money in the US? the high prices must land somewhere?!
@BoringReviews3 күн бұрын
It depends. If someone works for a hospital or clinic they will make a considerable amount less than one with their own practice. An anesthesiologist could make bank as they are basically a contractor and can work with many hospitals or doctors.

I can't actually remember what I had. I must have had something, because I remember having to wait in one of the beds for a short while afterwards for the effects to wear off.

It was a "sedative" for me - not a full anaesthetic, you're conscious, but it kind of relaxes you and means it's not too uncomfortable.
@botticellirejectbotticelli26684 күн бұрын
You would normally be given Midazolam which is “a short-acting hypnotic-sedative drug with anxiolytic, muscle relaxant, anticonvulsant, sedative, hypnotic, and amnesic properties.” Or something similar.
@johnnyuk33654 күн бұрын
I was given a sedative by the doctor who carried out the endoscopy. It is a very light anaesthesia. I did become unconscious but came to very quickly when I was being wheeled back to the ward. I have also had one without sedation, it is not pleasant but manageable and only takes 4 or 5 minutes. regardless of sedation or not my throat is always sprayed with a local anaesthetic.

I found a video that explains the subtle differences between anaesthesiologists and anaesthetists but it's very long and very boring and I haven't managed to {yawn} get through it {yawn} yet.
@wyterabitt21493 күн бұрын
That's in the US. In the UK there is no difference, anesthesiologist doesn't exist it is just called anaesthetist.
