This was not live. It was done in 7 or 8 takes. If you watch the BTS you will see. By live they mean a single performance that is caught on video. Other than that, Xulfi & the entire Coke Studios production team (including Sherry from Korakoram) are on a level never before seen in Asia. This quality of composition and production is unmatched.

Hey, Born and raised in America, but parents are from Pakistan. . Grew up on alternative rock bands like Linkin park and as rock music seemed to die in America it began to grow in Pakistan. Karakoram is one of those bands that just personify what I love about Pakistani music - these guys aren't expecting to make millions, it's hard to do in that region due to a variety of reason - they make music cuz they love it. The pure artistry and skill shows. All that is to say this - spoiler alert..... That WAS live. There's more obvious live performances done by this band if u need proof. First rapper was Talha Anjum, part of a duo Young Stunners, Other member of that duo is Talhah Yunus. The other rapper was Faris Shafi. All three rapers Talha Anjum, Talhah Yunus & Faris Shafi are the OG's of Pakistani Rap and Young Stunners are the pioneer of Urdu Rap. They have been doing rap since 2008 when they were school going kids 14/15 yrs old. Please react more on Pakistani Rappers. Also, Karakoram is an alternative/rock band.

And oh yea Karakoram is the rock band and the lead singer is Sherry Khatak, the first rapper was Talha Anjum from Karachi Pakistan, he's part of YS (Young Stunners) the second member of YS is Talha Yunus (I pretty positive he's gonna be part of this season as well), both of them are known for depth in their writing and if you understood Urdu, they are super poetic and super versatile at the same time because they also do diss tracks, motivational stuff, conscious rap even some commercial stuff here and there, check out more of their stuff specially from album Khana Badosh, came out last year and became an instant classic and finally the 2nd rapper in this song was Faris Shafi, from Lahore, Pakistan. Has also been in the game for quite some time ... he doesn't put out a lot of music but when he does it's very interesting, he can flow, but his writing can be meaningful while being funny, not comic but more like, too direct .... no sugar coating and sometimes a bit too technical to decode. Check out his song Nazar, a good one to react to.

I was about to sleep and your reaction video popped up on youtube so I wanted to watch your reaction right away. The lead singer of Karakoram is Sherry Khattak, and if you look at the BTS episodes of this season you'll find Sherry along side Xulfi, Abdullah and others producing this season. The first rapper in the song is Talha Anjum and the other rapper is Faris Shafi, both of them are simply exceptional in their own way. I have been listening to this song since its release and I just have 2 words for it SHOCK & AWE. Though I can understand the language perfectly and have felt it all the way, but I'm amazed and speechless at the same time with this creation. you have to understand, a lot of English substitution in that part of the world (colonial effect). so in everyday interactions a lot of English is spoken even if the locals can't read or speak it fluently. so for them/us it's pretty in sync and natural flowing. a lot of things don't have dedicated Urdu words themselves.
