Alan Davis is a laid back comedian / actor with a quick wit . He's always there to move things along . If you like a really good mystery you might try to find Jonathan Creek in which he starred for several series .

I agreee, he might have cracked a blinder of a gag earlier in this episode (often jointly with Stephen Fry) and is now more laid back to give the other comedians a chance to chime in, because in some episodes it's like Fry treats Davis as royalty and often turns to him first, so it can feel like a double act with a few other comedians on the sidelines lol And yep Jonathan Creek, so true, pretty sure they will both enjoy it but Jodi esp

I recommend reacting to Stephen Fry vs IKEA. For a game show he has to build a desk and it’s hilarious.

Great video. Quick interesting question: You both are teachers. Do you ever use some of the education you see in the videos in your classes ? Ever mention anything you see on these videos as a teaching resource? Also, have you both thought what you learnt from these videos that change your teaching methods.?

I think it's less about the rhyme and more the fact that the advice has been distilled into a rhyme. It implies that lots of people think the advice is so true it's worthy of a saying being made about it.

Maybe it's a cultural difference. Brits pride themselves on their competence. We feel inadequate if we have to pay someone to make something for us. Americans pride themselves on wealth and influence, so it's a status thing or them to be able to say someone else made something for them, not an admission of failure,

Just a tip, Ikea is not pronounced "eye-key-ah", it should be "Eh-key-eer" as in something being icky and something else being ickier. I used to live in Sweden
@Shoomer88 Жыл бұрын
In Swedish the middle part is actually kind of a 'key' and 'kay' at the same time. Not really a sound used in English. It's one of those words so many people get wrong (just about everybody) when you say it correctly people think you're weird.

Of course they (Ik-'ei-a) are clarifying that in the adverts now - just like Sh-kód-a and Hý-ún-dei. Part of that quasii-fascistic-globalist campaign to overturn the universal/millennia-old human tradition of adapting foreign words to fit one's own language and thereby enhancing one's own language.
