I like Nicola Sturgeon. I think it's a pity that she allowed herself to be embroiled in the murkiness. I can see that she had to go - but I think it's rather sad. I like her common sense, and down to earth straightforwardness, and I think overall she was a good politician. She's nailed BoJoke - he was unserious, unconcerned with truth or competence - and a down-right lying toad.

There was no "murkiness". Mony went "missing" from the party coffers no one NO ONE has ever explained where it went. This is off the back of of stergeon being questioned twice and set free twice. And remember the police investigation was concluded, having been sent to the procorater fisco, for over four months now..... Ask your self why the wait to either arrest someone.. Or alternitivly dismiss the case out right.. To what end? .. For what purpose? Maybe their waiting for, or after the election in Scotland in 2026 eh? But, here's the thing. if that is the case, what would that say about what was behind this whole sorded afair? 🤔

NS has more layers than an onion and more scandal and legal action is coming, if slowly. She resigned for entirely self-serving reasons and for once it was for matters of her own doing, not ‘Westminster’. I’ve no room for the duplicitous BJ but Nichola should not be throwing stones given her own issues.

@@shaun906I’m Scottish so I’ll give you my take on sturgeon. For years NS walked on water, all the SNP voters thought she was the 2nd coming. Up until she resigned, the SNP was shrouded in secrecy. When NS resigned the light was getting shone on NS and her party. For me Nicola sturgeon is a world class speaker, she would be world debating champion if their was a championship on offer. That is all she is or was, a fantastic speaker. An absolute fraud, She has failed at every policy she ever had. Her and her party have been found out. Hopefully come 2026 the SNP will be gone…

Nicola Sturgeon has been one of the most competent/intelligent politicians in Britain for these years of collective self-harm and destruction.....it's tragic that, seemingly, some bad choices or failures of clear accounting on behalf of her husband have cut her career short. I would love to hear an honest, not gotcha, interview with her about whatactually happened.

Scotland as a whole dislikes Boris Johnson. Scotland voted to remain in the EU in 2016. The Tories under his leadership won six seats in the 2019 general election, and when he came to Scotland on his first visit as prime minister he had to be smuggled out the back door of Bute House because of the angry crowd at the front.

It was disappointing that Sturgeon was not what we might have hoped and was herself brought down by sleaze . But Johnson is a slime ball and serial liar of monumental proportions who really doesn’t deserve such measured criticism . Makes you wonder what else he might have on her since she didn’t really let rip.

Sturgeon has a cheek going on TV to slag someone off for their arrogance, behaviour and general demenor based on how she operates. It looks as if she is maybe trying to be more humble, as she knows police investigations are closing in on her, and not to mention her book is being released - and after all she needs the mortgage paying.

I know this is a book review, but was it setup as a hatchet job? A wider interview would ask Sturgeon why she resigned so suddenly without warning, just before the arrest? Why did she say judge her by results, yet Scottish education and NHS have fallen down so far, or why such a high proportion of drug deaths are in Scotland?

The demolishing of the tory reputation is largely down to johnson who got rid pf any members with a smidgeon of morality and competence. This is why we have a leadership race with Honst Bob and Kemi Badenoch.

Ahhh the old double standard claim that not only is it sexist, but it is misogynist to make any comment on a woman's physical appearance. Women *constantly* critique the way men look. And, whilst he was flavour of the month, Rishi was most definitely dishy, eat out to help out....or something. I do wonder about the 1 in 10 women who are feminists is, and how they imagine we are supposed to get round this philistine iconoclasm. If men say something complimentary, other than in the most bland euphemism, then that's sexist because you are objectifying her. Yes, she's an object. Most things in existence are as. But shhhh, intelligence isn't an immutable trait. And, neither willpower, or will to power. You also can't say anything negative because you've careened from sexism into misogyny. There are no ugly women. Full-stop. Period. Read my lips. What is most amusing is the pretence that fragility is strength and self-consciousness is confidence. Sort of like a First Minister of country who left office after lurching from scandal to scandal pretending to be the arbiter of moral probity. I look forward to Nicola's insipid memoir. Perhaps, Hannah could have actually pinned her down on what a woman actually is. Ask her. Go on-she glitches, it's quite amusing. BTW Kamala sounds like Lois Griffin and it is incredibly irritating; Trump sounds like idling strimmer. But only one of those complaints is sexist.
