Politics has turned from the days of “ what can I do for the country “ to what can the country do for me”, they spend their time passing bills that only enrich themselves and their mates at the expense of the people. War is futile and doesn’t achieve anything but these people certainly don’t mind sending others kids of to war to be maimed and killed, they never send their own do they? These politicians don’t mind locking people down and destroying their jobs and their lives, crushing small business into the ground and using an ever more militant police to enforce these rule while all the time ignoring these rules themselves. This virus has given governments worldwide the perfect opportunity to show their true colours and establish they are the ruling class and we are their plebs, people are starting to rise up and not only these rules but this growing attitude of contempt and disdain for the people. People worldwide need to vote out every single one of them that has gone along with this nonsense and treat them with the contempt they deserve.

Should never have been a referendum in the first place, should have had a minimum turn out requirement when it did happen and a minimum number of votes to pass. Far too complex of a decision for the general public to understand let alone take on and vote on, and far too divisive for the Country in the final result. Should have required a 75% vote for leave or remain from a larger number of people, in order for that to be followed through. Or abandoned. The only reason Boris won any election, was because of Brexit. Plain and simple.

The politicians made it clear they didn't really know the true ins and outs of what Brexit might bring. How could the public be any wiser on it? So what is the Speakers job. Because you left us on a cliff hanger. From a layman's position, Beth Rigby uploads the evidence the speaker shuts down any further discussion. Boris walks away scott free? Surely he has to come back to the house and issue a statement saying given the video evidence of me saying something I told Angela Rayner I did not say was false. Otherwise what is the point of the speaker, the process, the rule. Because any MP/ PM can simply say "I never did say that" when clearly they did on video.

That clown is only going to go down because of all the corruption and contempt for all the rules and every British citizen. Even his incompetence was trumped by his charisma... Starmer couldn't get away with a fraction of what Johnson did just because he lacks charisma, he's not a man of the public - even though he has a lot more to offer than his Tory counterpart.

It's amazing that so many people are so blind. The Speaker ruled that this wasn't a 'point of order', so Johnson had no need to answer the question, and so he can't have been 'running away'. The video description gives readers the impression that Johnson had to be restrained by the Speaker who was holding him accountable after he 'ran away' but in fact the Speaker just wanted him to stay because the next item on the agenda was the PM giving a statement on another subject.

Bercow liked the sound of his own voice and destroyed convention to elevate his own views in the house. I want to hear my MPs debate, not the speaker pontificate. I quite like Hoyle, hes witty without being a vanity ridden egotistical mouthpiece like Bercow. Bercow objected to Trump as the President of one of our closest allies, the USA, speaking, but rolled out the red carpet for the President of China's visit, along with those two other pudding faced numpties Cameron and Osborne.

PMQ is a set time period and that had now ended. The speaker deemed the issue to be a point of order not a question. Therefore it was not a question to be answered and so he was to stay seated.

@@DigitalDaffodil Nope, there's an exit behind the speaker's chair. It's difficult to see, but if you take a look at video tours or pictures, you'll see it. Having a room full of important people with only one exit is a fire & terrorism risk. IIRC, the wooden panelling has a few hidden doors too.
