But that's a big problem because you think you can stop everytime you want and you fall into a trap, every next time is harder and harder stop using it and cravings and cold turkey become unbearable. But substitutes for heroin like methadone or buprenorphine are even worse considering cold turkey which here lasts for months, heroin crisis is about 10 days , oxycontin and other opioids are all over, big pharma advertised it as a harmless analgetics but it made millions of addicts because doctors prescripted it like it's a candy for every mild pain, but other things , natural stuff like marijuana, thc oil, kratom are in many places still forbidden

For smoking you need more of it, heroin addicts don't do it often unless they have access to load of it, because they see that as wasting it, you can shoot or snort few times for the quantity of heroin needed for smoking it. Snorting is the least effective way of using it, you can't feel the rush because when you shoot you take the whole dose directly into your bloodstream , by snorting many of it is stucked and don't reach the whole body system , but is definitely much less dangerous for your health and less toxic - you don't get disease, you don't destroy your veins, by shooting you don't ingest only heroin but all the stuff they mix it into it - sometimes they even cut it with strichnine, which is a rat poison ,it gives some high but can easily kill you. And now with fentanyl , people are dying all the time when they cut with it.

And I don't wanna be those people. I don't want to fuck over my friends. Cocaine is a hole that grows bigger the more of you shovel inside. To their credit, the people who prepared the hit for me wouldn't have given it to me if they had known I never smoked it before. The experience itself was...boring, in a way? It's like a steam engine is rolling through your head, but it gave me next to nothing that I like in drugs. I like amphetamine, because it makes me talkatative and enables creativity and stuff like that, but coke? Like, what's the fucking point, you throw out ten bucks for a high that isn't even sociable, so to speak, and lasts for no longer than 15 minutes, most of which is already beyond the peak. No thanks, I got enough problems, I don't need a cocaine addiction, too (thank god amphetamine is cheap as fuck, not that I would encourage anyone to get hooked on it. Still, the far lesser harmful drug when compared with coke). One thing I recently noticed is that people who would sell their soul for another hit of coke don't only have no perspective in life, they also don't even seem to care for having one (as far as I can tell). And that would explain why cocaine is so much fun for them. There is no point to it. Only when your life is/appears to be (next to) pointless, it makes sense to do something so stupid to yourself.
