The biggest complement that Borla could ever get, comes from the mechanical engineer, designer, patent holder and college professor David Vizard! Yes, he has a you tube channel that boast of Borla's performance based upon tuned headers, pressure wave chamber and the math of 2.2 CFM of flow per muffler per HP of an open exhaust race car. He has been flow testing since 1965 and pressure sensors compares his finding that "Some Back-pressure" in the exhaust is not needed and still control sound for street legal vehicles. I put a Borla xr1 3 in 3 out muffler on my 1990 gmc Seirra with a 350 tbi and it sounds a amazing also I have been getting better fuel efficiency since doing so

I’ve had magnaflow on my 95 Sierra liked (sold) I currently have TRUE DUAL flowmaster super 40’s on my 94 Silverado & like it & just installed BORLA ATAK CATBAK on my 2014 Silverado & gotta say I LOVE IT JUST WHAT BIG SEXY NEEDED!!!!

As someone who has owned both flowmaster and borla exhaust systems i can say this: the borla s type on my 2013 silverado made a VERY noticeable difference in power and as far as the sound goes im considering switching the muffler itself out for the atak which was not available when i bought mine. ote that my truck came with a flowmaster on it when i bought it.

@StevennClark I believe Fiberwerx makes the fenders and bedside. search them on google and theyll have all that info for you. The suspension under the silverado is most likely a long travel kit you can search long travel silverado kit on google and go from there! :)

As of now this "Touring" muffler addvertsmt. post has been up for 10 months, so I will see if they are available, want to run on my mean chevy 1973 K5 Blazer 350cu.. do not want it so loud, also I do not think fitting them will be an issue but will seek dimensions for saftey prior to purchase. The 4.3l is a v6 so it will sound quite a bit different compared to the 5.3l which is a v8

Dissapointed they didn't provide what engine this truck had, 4.8, 5.3, etc, but based on the lack of interest by borla on this video to answer any questions, it's anyone's guess. Best price for the S-type is on autoanything @$1,029 w/free shipping. Hands down the best sounding borla for this series truck thus far.

I have straight pipes on my Silverado cammed with headers. I must be getting too old cause I hate how loud it is now!! I think I'm going with the s type cause it still has a growl and good performance. Will my truck perform a little better with an S-Type? Thanks!

Thank you for reaching out! You can expect 8-10 horsepower and tq with our Cat-Back systems on your 5.3L Silverado. However, I do want to let you know that our systems for the 2007-2008 Silverado are only available in our Touring sound level. They will only be slightly more aggressive than stock.

I'm running a Mbrp system 3in from catylatic coverter pipe to a 3.5in tip right over the axle. she sings louder then these borla systems. even flowmaster, and cherrybombs. but if you want loud, cut the exhaust behind the cab and put a dump tip. also remove the cats. I just pulled a 38ft camper out of the mud today with my 1500 5.3. Never heard such a deep growl, even with the small tick and I have. I'm also running a spectre intake that's ways thinner then k&n. it'll pull air through, like an industrial vacuum. it's insane. I just need headers and cat deletion, then she will roar
