I have borla longtube headers with offroad x pipe and the atak it sounds like a race car it's loud when you want it to be and quite when cruising you can talk crap all you want about these but they are built strong perfect install amazing warranty can't go wrong with them

I totally disagree! My Beautiful 2013 stock 5.0 snacks on Camaro's and eats challengers. Growing up, I had a very built 73 camaro and I hated Mustangs. They have come a long way, they are very fast and insane to drive not to mention the 5.0 base is under 35k. The competition is way over priced! By the way I will say the 2015 Mustangs are ugly as F#=k. Glad I have the last of the beauties.

the Cameron and gt are basically identical cars in speed, the camaro outhandles the mustang though, the challenger is on the short end of the stick with both speed and handeling, but you have a lot more space inside.

The Atak looks like the exaust system for the old Alfa Romeo JK in Brazil, but it has only 4 cylinders and the sound is very diferent. Great job!

Trust me. the S-type exhaust on the new 5.0 is amazing. It is definitely worth its price. you won't regret it. I had more compliments in one day with the S-types compared to GT500 axle backs that I had before that installed for over a year.

@Stangrocka302 Thanks! We actually designed the 3" system to be used with our long tube headers which are part number 17263. Since long tube headers change the sound dramatically, and also increase the volume of air running through the exhaust, some enthusiasts have asked for a 3" system designed to integrate with our headers. As far as the muffler design, it's closest to an S-Type but we didn't distinguish it because there's only one sound level for our 3" system.

It's not just about volume, but sound quality. IMO, the ATAK Catback is the best sounding exhaust you can buy for the Coyote, when you consider all factors, with the S-type a close second, and Dynomax Race Bullets would probably be my 3rd choice, not quite having the personality (that classic stainless steel muscle car growl, with its certain pitches and melodies) that the Borlas have, but flowing very well and having a very deep, very loud, aggressive kind of hollow bellowing sound under WOT.

@therealmrsandman It comes with 3.73 gears, there is no 3.37 gear option. The other gears are 3.55, the standard 3.31 for manuals, and 3.15 for autos. Also they are 19x9 wheels, the Shelby has 19x9.5.

@mrperfection2k4 It's called cat-back and not cat to axle back for a reason =P. You get the entire exhaust from starting where the cats end all the way to the end and including the tips. When you go to their site, you see the entire exhaust system you get when you buy it.

I just installed the s type on my 5.0 yesterday and man do i love it. Very very smooth flow and not much different than stock when cruising , but when u get on it sure does sound amazing !

@peanutmistyella The popping sound is a by product of a free flowing exhaust system. If we changed the muffler to calm this down it would also change the sound of the muffler on accel.

These sound pretty awesome, I'm more fond of the lower-pitched rumble of the Touring and S-Types myself. But I REALLY wish there was an exhaust with a more biomechanical roar to it, just strange sounding where it sounds like it could be a machine or an animal, like the sounds the Striders or Gunships from Half Life 2 made.

salferaih1984 They are both good exhausts. It's just a sound preference at this point. I have the touring on mine due to no cats and I wanted to clean up the sound. Hope that helps. Borla in my opinion.
