Heya! Thank you for your tutorial, very helpful!(I've got the full version). Maybe it's a silly question but are the patterns in Groove Agent royalty free as in can I use them in my songs unedited? Always paranoid with that stuff
@Borntoproduce Жыл бұрын
Hey Alexis, glad you are enjoying the course. Yes you can use all the groove agent stuff in music productions with no fear :)

Thanks for making engaging content. Most of these guys are so slow, monotone & boring that I can't stay awake to learn!

on cubase 12 i cant create a sampler track, the option is not available when i click the right button, any idea Jon?
@Borntoproduce2 жыл бұрын
Hey, as long as you have Cubase Elements, Artist or Pro you should have it. If you have LE or AI versions they don't come with it. Which version do you have?

@@Borntoproduce Hi Jon, Thank you very much for your quick reply. I had initially installed Cubase 11 Ellement, but got an email from Steinberg for a free update to Cubase 12. What I hadn't noticed that I got an update to Cubase 12 AI so I had to pay 24 Euros to get back an Element version. But now everything is working normal Now I have 20 euros less to spend on a course damn it!!! 😏 Dirk

Is this a rehash of your old courses again or a completely new one?
@Borntoproduce2 жыл бұрын
It's a completely new one, though, as it is a beginner course it does cover very similar topics as the previous beginner tutorial

I have been using various DAWs for many years, unfortunately I must say that Cubase is completely obsolete and no user freindly program. I only use it for compatibility with the recording studio. Working in Cubas is slow and uncomfortable. The Halion and Groove agent VST plugins have a very confusing UI.

i dont care i use cubase and its great
@Borntoproduce2 жыл бұрын
I think Tomas, you are making the classic mistake of 'it does not work like my other DAW, therefore it's not as good/it's trash etc etc etc'. I have used all the main DAW's as well, and they are all amazing in their own ways, but I always end up going back to Cubase as I find it's workflow (once you are used to it) is one of the quickest and easiest to get things done. All DAW's are 'slow and uncomfortable' until you understand them, so take the time to learn it properly and you might change your mind. All the best to you :)

This is a personal opinion. It's impossible to please everyone. If hundreds of thousands or millions of people like something, there will ALWAYS be people who completely disagree. People who say it's not good etc. That has always been the case and will never change. Therefore, one can only take note of this different opinion and attitude. Maybe do some more convincing? Personally, I've given up on that now. I'm also a bit older ;-) My time has become too precious for me. And whether I am "right or would be right" - I don't care at all 😅

@@Borntoproduce This is difficult to explain in a short post. I am a really experienced user, I have no problem learning really complex soft. I had in mind mainly basic editing, working with blocks, fast and most importantly precise copying, marking the range, moving between individual parts of the song. When arranging a song, I need to quickly put together the cornerstones of the song and a clear visual orientation. And this is very clumsy and slow in Cubase. The Cubase user interface doesn't really allow this. Otherwise, I used to use Cubase 1 on Atari when it was only MIDI.
@Borntoproduce2 жыл бұрын
@@topavelka To copy something in Cubase you can literally do it with one click! You say it's not precise? Have you got 'snap' turned on? Have you set it to 'Adapt To Zoom' (these are set and forget functions). Once they are set you can copy with one click (or click and a keyboard press). Use the 'marker track' (2 clicks to load it), then one click to add a marker and one click on the transport panel to go to that marker. If you want a nicer visual of the arrangement you can use the 'arranger track', and you can use that to try many differing arrangements without moving the parts of your track around at all! When you find the arrangement that you like, you can instantly bake it in and Cubase moves everything automatically for you. It is neither slow or clumsy, you just need to understand how it works and then it is very quick, easy and powerful. I recommend you watch this kzbin.info/www/bejne/qJy3lKF4htCimdU&ab_channel=DomSigalas
