I was an F4 pilot stationed at cam rahn bay with the 59th tac fighter squadron. I was there for 3 months and medevaced back to the US. After a month in the hospital at cam rahn bay and three months at Wright Patterson AFB hospital I was retired with 20 % disability. To this day I am 100% disabled and living in chronic pain. Every day I vividly remember the Vietnam war. I am now 79 years old.

I was stationed at a small camp about 30 miles from Bien Hoa. Our C.O. gave us permission to get a list of things our platoon members needed and take a deuce and a half to the Bien Hoa PX to get them. We didn't have a PX in our camp and many were out of tooth paste, soap and etc. When we arrived at the Bien Hoa entry gate, an air force Lt, stopped us and asked what we were there for, I explained we were going to their PX for needed items. He would not allow us in since we weren't on official business and made us turn around and head back to camp. Since that time, I've never had any use for the USAF. The USAF can KMA

I was an Air Policeman at Tan Son Nhut AB, Saigon. A Lt was never part of an entry control point! Only enlisted worked the gates. I'm sorry for the way you men were treated. It broke my heart to detain AWOL Soldiers who were looking for a moment of peace from that god awful mess! I once missed a Kbar while searching a detainee! He was placed in a holding cell and when the 716th MP's found it, I nearly was canned from a Desk Sgt's job!

In June '68 I was one of a Saturn Airlines DC-8 load of replacements getting off the plane, headed for that tented area that served as the passenger terminal. Laying around the front of it were a gaggle of infantrymen who were waiting for a C-123 or Caribou flight back up to a base camp further North. Those of us who had just stepped into the humidity were taken aback at how dirty and emaciated these guys looked, sprawled on the asphalt. They all looked like Wiley Coyote, and those who weren't asleep were blankly staring right through us. Four months later, after my infantry company had cycled through operating out of a bunch of firebases, I was resting in front of that tent, staring and trading remarks with my buddies about how so many of the guys stepping off the arriving charter flights looked so annoyingly pink, plumped up, and clueless. I fondly remember walking out on the same tarmac and boarding a TWA 707 in June '69 for the long ride back to Travis AFB.

Great quality but the arrows are more than a little confusing. The arrow that, it seems, is trying to point to the 90th is actually at the opposite end of Long Binh, and points across TC Hill. The 90th was several miles away. Aside from that, though, it's a terrific glance back at a time in our lives when we were young and immortal. I was Transportation Corps, 543rd & 151st TC from May 68 to Mar 69. Welcome home, brothers.

UMG claimed copyright on the music soundtrack I used, so KZbin supressed the audio, including the narration. It's a lot of work to re-edit the video/narration & re-post, so I just used KZbin's 'license-free' music so there's not complete silence while viewing.

Hi! I am searching for my dad's biological father. He was stationed in Long Binh VN in 1971 and may have in Tay Ninh in 1972. My grandma says his name was possibly Miller and she remembers the number 62 and letter d in regards to his military numbers. She didn't know what they represent exactly though. She also mentioned he had long blonde hair, might have been in his early 40s in 72 and he would have known her as Dong or Dam Thi Ho. That's really all she remembers. I would appreciate if you can point me in the right direction!

The ABCs of Salvation, or how to be right with God, and know you're going to Heaven: A-dmit that you're a sinner, and need a Savior. As it is written: There is none righteous, no, not one. Romans 3:10 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23 B-elieve that Jesus Christ died paying the penalty for your sins, and rose from the grave. He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross. 1 Peter 2:24 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures... 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 C-all on the Lord Jesus Christ to save you, and trust only in Him for your salvation. If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13 The moment you "believe," or, put your trust in what Jesus has done for you, God saves you and your eternal destiny in Heaven is assured. You go from spiritual death to eternal life the moment you believe. Jesus said it this way: Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. John 5:24😀
