Vacationing in Indonesia has been a great experience! The culture is amazing, there is so much history everywhere and the hospitality has been outstanding! I can't stop taking pictures and making videos here.

I hope our Indonesian government do more promotion of ancient sites like this. It used to be one of 7 wonders of the world and it’s older than Angkor Wat. Buddhist people around the world celebrate a beautiful ceremony called Waisak in Borobudur temple every year. Each level and wall of the temple have very deep meaning and stories. I was surprised that not so many people know about Borobudur in the States, people heard about Angkor Wat or visited the complex before. Fortunately I had a chance to bring some of my friends from the States to Prambanan in Yogyakarta and Borobudur temple in Magelang years ago, it was amazing experience for all of us🙂

I had the chance to visit Borobudur on a very nice day. Many people have been their, mainly locals, and they were luckly behaving better. Sad to see people climbing on the Chedis or sitting on them in your video. That´s not only disrespectful, it will also destroy soon, what has luckily preserved for so many centuries by the volcano ashes. It is hard to find something comparable in the world. How could people be so selfish to climb onto this amazing heritage.

Let me correct the information that you mentions on 01:59 . Borobudur was abandoned long before Islam came to Java. The major eruption of the nearby mount Merapi also played part in its abandonment

It is unlikely that I will ever visit Java so I really appreciate your beautiful video, Dr. LTE. Next best thing to being there. Looking forward to visiting Brussels with you. In fact, I had Brussels sprouts for dinner tonight. I read on Google that the sprouts were cultivated near Brussels as early as the 13th century. Apparently, the Belgians managed to convince other countries to try them out--not an easy task :)
