I'm glad OP didn't bend to Frank's blackmail and took the right steps by going to seek advice from an attorney. However, I believe it would be a foolish mistake for OP to hire Frank to work for him, especially in administration. Frank could easily get access to the company money. He didn't have a problem stealing the inheritance, so he won't have a problem stealing from OPs company.

I would have called the FBI and a lawyer after the blackmail attempt. The locals can’t do much against a guy like him, but the Feds do and they love going after high profile scammers like this. Plus you could get rewarded for crimes like this (depending on the charges and those laws talk to a lawyer about that). I wouldn’t be surprised if the FBI has file or a case on this guy already. Especially since he’s so public about this crap.

This was so messed up. I understand why OP did what he did, except for having kids when he did. I would've gotten the money for the house and THEN tried to have kids. While I don't see anything wrong with borrowing money if you're careful, it's not something you should want to do, if you can avoid it. That being said, Frank just tried to trap his brother and stole from him. Idk what caused Frank to do this TO HIS OWN BROTHER, or thinking that he wouldn't get caught. As for Lisa... I hope she understood why OP did what he did. Nobody wants to believe that their brother did THIS to them...

Frank will have you in every conceiveable area of trouble possible by writing bogus contracts, stealing clients money, embezzling from your company, etc. That soft spot you have for Frank...harden it asap. OP it's nice to love your brother but just how blind are you. You had all these people telling you, brother man was a crook and you refused to see. Every female you dated hated him. You at least grew a brain and hired a lawyer when he threatened you. Running into your friend was God looking out for you. You really need to thank that man. Hiring your brother to do contracts is not smart unless you have to approve every contract he does.
