I'm appalled at the lack of integrity. I've experienced this and worse in every single place I've worked. When I exhibited how appalled I was, I was called 'old fashioned'. I consulted my lawyer with the documentation and he said flat out they had broken the law. Nothing ever happened, though. Fortunately, I retired. As one of my colleagues said, it probably saved my life. Good for OP. Here's hoping that she can live a guilt free life. It's surprising how much gaslighting there is these days, where the victim is the one who feels bad about what happened.

Many years ago, I was newly married and 21 yrs old. My new husband tried to talk me into sleeping with his best friend!! His reason was that his friend was still a virgin and unattractive so he felt bad for him that he’d never had sex. SERIOUSLY!!! We have long ago divorced (naturally the red flags started flying high) but, to this day, I still cannot wrap my head around what he was thinking!! We were really in love then too, as he literally cried and begged me to marry him after we’d broken up, so i don’t think he was indifferent. Not sure how he justified it in his mind. Maybe he thought it was just sex and he wasn’t worried I’d leave him for his nerdy friend?? Anyway, that really hurt me. I said no of course and I always sort of felt like he didn’t really respect me if he thought that was ok. So strange the weird things men can justify about sex. SMH

He was definitely lying and thought he was being sly by saying that he'll give the house back after the divorce. I'm not surprised that he found mysognist aholes that told him that op needs to be doormat and do as he says. Specially with selling his assets just so he wouldn't have to give anything to op. In his vile mind he probably thinks he's also punishing op for not doing what he wanted then divorcing him plus for telling his and op's family what he was trying to make op do. I'm not even surprised that he was furious at op for him getting chewed out by everyone for his vile actions. Op was smart in keeping track of everything given he was trying to slick in trying to avoid giving op anything. Bet he was horrified that op's lawyer was able to stick charges to him and how he got verbally torn into by the judge. Op you didn't overreact by any means. He just pissed that he's not going to get what his greedy butt wanted, got chewed out by everyone for how he treated you and wasn't able to keep everything to himself because he's greedy and blames you for his consequences that he's facing. Update 2, op he's just a greedy ahole that wanted control and everything to himself, screw him. Also, what he said on the phone was NOT okay. He only showed that he's a psycho for saying that plus to use it as an excuse for his actions makes him even more vile. I wouldn't be surprised if that psycho was aiming to hurt op with that phone call and that only makes him beyond vile. Update 3, why am I not surprised that he was cheating on op and was trying to alleviate his guilt by trying to get op to sleep with his boss. This guy is so beyond vile and psycho it's not funny. Good on op for suing the vile company. If their going to allow that behavior they shouldn't be a company at all. Why am I not surprised that they got sued and lost yet still didn't learn from that🤦. Not surprised that ex husband called op after hearing about the lawsuit and cursed plus insulted op. That company is full of vile, mysognist, creeps and doormats. Update 4, why am I not surprised that the creep lied to everyone that op came onto him. Again, stupidity at the finest because people like him don't think about people finding out the truth. Update 5, I knew the ex husband was going to try something to harm op because he believes it's op's fault that he suffered and lost his job. Not surprised that he tried to threaten his boss with suing them for letting him go and backed down when threatened back. I wouldn't be surprised if he got a job at where op worked just to harass op only to be furious that he didn't get away with it and got fired, again. Even if he wasn't high pretty sure he wanted to really harm op given he blames op for his suffering. Hon, it's only unless he doesn't head the restraining order. But I doubt he's going to do anything now after how quickly he faced consequences.

Afterwards: This spread all over the place and he could no longer work in the industry so he is now homeless. The MC moved to another state completely and have moved on with her life and she ended up marrying her therapist after the session was over and the guy was really great to her. They have built a family together. As for the ex, he ended up going on a rampage asking people where is the MC but then he messed with the wrong person. This idiot stepped right on this guys shoe out of rage and it ended up creating a "moment". The ex got taken somewhere in the alleyway and got beaten down brutally for it and he was sotomized as well with a stick and ended up knocked out. The guys left him in the pool of his own blood.

No, OP was not overacting. Her husband was trying to pimp out his wife to his boss. Apparently OP's husband's coworkers had done the same thing to their wives which is why the boss was certain he could use OP as his personal escort. A husband like that has no respect or love for a wife. It's good OP got out of the marriage before children came into the picture. OP isn't stupid, he wasn't testing boundaries, he was planning to sell his wife in exchange for a promotion, or his hope of a promotion.
