80% isn't notably significant, Google how much DNA we share with a chimpanzee and then an elephant, and you will see that 80% DNA share is practically two different species. The reason why Boruro is a 100% Ohtsutsuki at this point is because he was written into an Ohtsutsuki using his own DNA, which was inherited from his ancestry. The truth is Boruro having the jougan may very well be the culmination of the byakugan. That said both Himawari and Boruto have blue eyes and not byakugan pale eyes because Kishimoto forgot to draw them and accidentally went with blue eyes like Naruto. Which is also partially why the jougan was created. For not to mention that Borushiki does actually have the byakugan. Yet Himawari is technically the only of the two with the natural ability, and she is confirmed by Daemon to be a dormant superpower, wether or not she survives the kawaki betrayal arc and or if she becomes a Ninja or not is yet to be seen, she hasn't decided yet. And now that her parents have been sealed away she has a personal motive to go all Sasuke on Kawaki. Which may or may not cause her death due to Daemon and Aida not exactly okay with Kawaki dying. Well I understand this is a 4 month old video, but... Even 4 months ago we knew about Boruro being 100% Ohtsutsuki. Tenseigan probably not returning any time soon if at all.

Hagaromo and Hamura made their own seal together to seal their mom, so Naruto and Sasuke should squeeze Momoshiki out of Boruto and squash that fool into a new moon with their own seal. Hagaromo is off chilling in the afterlife so he can't return to gift them his seal, but Naruto and Sasuke still have Six Paths, so they should use it to make their own seal. I'm sure the old Uzumaki records have a big boy seal hidden away somewhere, Uzumaki knew how to seal giant chakra beasts. Crank out an Uzumaki seal on those Otsutsuki dweebs. Remember when Sasuke used a reverse version of Creation of All Things to absorb all the chakra of the Tailed Beasts to dish out his Indra's Arrow? That attack was insane on a technical level. It was similar to what Hagromo did when he created the Tailed Beasts. Sasuke has technical skill of chakra and I'm sure with Naruto's chakra knowledge the two of them can successfully create a strong Otsutsuki seal. Easy dubs. Clap him and then hit him a "gg".

Not to mention their bloodlines. Himawari will have insane chakra reserves and Sarada has ridiculous chakra control. Idk what we have coming, but they're going to be powerful. Himawari may awaken tenseigan in both eyes simultaneously. She was able to one shot Naruto and Kurama in a single shot when she her eyes awokened. And hers activated out of anger like a sharingan. Sarada awoke hers out of love and intense emotion. The activations were switched. Not the mention that Naruto's kids also have some of Kurama's chakra in them too. That's the thing. He isn't fully otsusuki in any way. If you say it's because he's a mixture of Hagoromo and Hamura's chakra; but that's the thing; He's not. As much as I hate it because of how unfactual it is, Soruto is the otsusuki. But the thing is, his still not a full otsusuki and so is Hagoromo and Hamura. The three of them are otsusuki+human hybrids. So, even Boruto isn't a complete otsusuki. Also, he doesn't have complete Hagoromo DNA. Because he doesn't have Uchiha blood and that's why Soruto is more otsusuki than Boruto. The only true otsusuki blood on earth is Kaguya's. So Boruto needs to have full Kaguya blood by marrying an Uchiha.... But this could also mean that Boruto and Himawari are a new breed of otsusuki that only have Byakugan and Jougan. And lastly, I really hate the idea of Boruto having a kid with Sarada.

I think that, speaking of the Tenseigan, that the fact that Toneri implanted Hyuga eyes and the fact Madara just yanks out Kakashi's eye at random leads me to believe that EMS is gained from transplanting a relative's eye and not "smashing them together". After all, the activation of the Sharingan and Mangekyo Sharingan has more to do with the Chakra, but it could be a flaw through genetic dilution since Indra that the eyes are no longer as durable as they once were genetically or something.

I always wondered why there're more eye-levels for SO6P's line than his brother's. It's now Hamura's line of the eye evolutions with the Byakugan, Tenseigan, & *Jougan* for the Boruto series. In Naruto: Hagoromo's line has the Sharingan, MS/EMS, & Rinnegan ( ~Rinne-Sharingan kind of) through Indra/Uchihas. The merging of the Uzumaki and Hyuga Clan's bloodline is much like the descendents of King James VI of England, his eldest daughter's line is the succession of British monarchy while his youngest daughter's line is the Jacobite succession. Boruto is the Prince William V in the anime world.

I have a very good theory. So Boruto becomes a rogue ninja and after sometime passes Momoshiki takes over borutos body completely and Boruto has zero control. broushiki moves forward and smirks " where are u kiwaki". As he moves forward he heres a noise call out his name "Momoshiki". Momoshiki turns around to see a ginormous figure. it was the otsutsuki god. The otsusuki god pulls out momoshikis soul out of boruto. momoshikis soul trys to escape but can't. boruto then see's the outsutsuki go and is like " WHAT IS THAT THING". The outsuki god is like " This is your punishment for getting in my way momoshiki". and crushes momoshikis soul with his fist. And then decides to make boruto his avatar on earth.

Even if he doesn't (for whatever reason) awaken one through awakening a byakugan, if he was to ever implant the eye of another hyuga, it would now have to canonically become a tenseigon, or create a big inconsistency

Also, Isshiki had already been taking on both Sasuke and Naruto going all-out for a while before then, and he was _on the brink of death_ even _before_ the fight started! Naruto is also _objectively_ weaker than Momoshiki and Kinshiki, considering that he wasn't able to defeat _either_ of the two on his own. In fact, he couldn't beat either of them _with_ help from Kurama! Naruto hasn't shown feats even _remotely_ comparable to Kaguya's. Sure, he could probably beat her in a solo fight by the time of Boruto, but that's because Kaguya _sucks_ at fighting! She's a non-combatant. Her raw, inborn power is the source of her dangerousness, _not_ any fighting skill. This is the _only_ reason that Hagoromo and Hamura were able to beat her _at all_ the first time! Peak Hagoromo _directly_ states that _nobody_ is more powerful than his mother; excluding the other Otsutsuki, who nobody knew about at the time, that includes _himself_ at his mightiest! Peak Toneri is in the same boat. He's _objectively_ more powerful than Rikudo Sennin Naruto; he lost because Naruto wasn't fighting him alone, and he was considerably less experienced in actual combat than Naruto at that time. His feats came from sheer, inborn talent and ability. Those Tenseigan he had? He had them for _maybe_ an hour; there's no way he could have mastered them instantaneously. Hagoromo is Ninja-Jesus; he created the Moon _before_ reaching the peak of his powers, _without_ dying of Chakra depletion! Rikudo Sennin Naruto wouldn't be capable of that feat even with two Rinnegan under his control; he doesn't have enough Chakra, vast as his capacity is. Peak Hamura isn't too far behind his brother in terms of sheer power, having a full set of Tenseigan of his own and probably some actual time to practice using them effectively, unlike Toneri who had them for maybe an hour or so. _Neither_ of the two were as powerful as Kaguya, per their own admission. So that leaves us with Urashiki. Sure, he can time-slip. But that's about the only real gimmick he has apart from the typical Otsutsuki BS. Hence my point. Victory in combat doesn't determine rankings in terms of power, or else the lucky schmuck who finally managed to kill Hashirama after he ran out of Chakra would be remembered as a _legend_ in-series.

Aww man! I'm currently up to the Kawaki and Himawari at the academy arc, and Himawari is showing real leadership and ninja potential. Please don't tell me that's going to amount to nothing. actually in the boruto manga chapter 67 he had to be healed off the brink of death by momoshiki, and momoshiki tells him that he is now a “pure, genuine, complete otsusuki. this theory could actually play out sooner rather than later and i am here for it.

Nick I think whether Boruto would gain a tenseigan from a Hyuga implant may depend upon a few more factors than considered. Would there need to be a familial relation for compatibility? If so Himawari? Or Hanabi since she's already lost her eyes once? Understanding Ao already shown it's possible to transplant a byakugan, yet not all of Danzos sharingan were evolved. Showing the possible necessity for specific factors for certain dojutsu to progress. Likely the %80 DNA rewrite helps with compatibility complications since the otsutsuki would likely want to retain some of the strength of their karma host to add to their own. But could other hyuga have had the opportunity to have their own unique dojutsu, if they had perchance given their eyes out of love to preserve the sight of another? Or is it possible that to awaken a true tenseigan you would first have to give your own eyes to a tenseigan "energy vessel" like on the moon then regain your own sight via a compatible "donor". In which case would the power of the tenseigan "eye" be equivalent to the power of the respective tenseigan "vessel"? The one we see has been built up over generations.

Hey Nick i really really respect this theory honestly they going to have to do some spiritual training for real. just like how Naruto beat crap out of hatred i think it's right that baruto does the same and go on that path of teachings. I honestly believe that Hamura was gifted with sage mode when he died and hagoromo Sharing his sage mode abilities with him i don't know if the eye thing is true but I feel like hamura was a pawn of grand scheme of things he got played i feel bad that he didn't know to fight when his brother killed i really really really really would like for you to do a hamura explaining him and keep up with this big brain theories
