Ultra Large Format, Wetplate, Macro Photography as a Support to an Artist

A month ago Slovenia was hit by unprecedented catastrophic floods. Six people lost their lives, several houses were washed away and lots of people lost their property. I personally wasn't affected as our region was spared. But my friend and a photographer who's work I admire, Jošt Franko did lost his cameras, books, hard drives and worst of all, film negatives.

Your mate must be utterly devastated, I often think about the fact that if I had a fire at my house or some other catastrophe I'd lose a filing cabinet of transparencies and over 1500 sheets of 35mm negs. I hope the bloke gets back on his feet quickly - his photography was exceptional.
