I have both. The Creative T100 have more power and bass and better frequency response, so they sound better. Creative T100: 50Hz - 20kHz / 40W RMS. Bose Companion 2 series III: 70Hz - 35kHz / 30W RMS.

@@rudolof8540 Sure, it's much more expensive than the creative t100, plus the creative t100 and Bose companion 2 series iii are computer speakers and you're comparing them to a portable speaker,if the portable speaker is bigger it will have bigger speakers or a woofer and a tweeter instead of a full range speaker so you can have more bass,PC speakers are smaller and many need subwoofer help so that's why they don't have much bass, but I'm sure they do have more bass than Logitech z150 and other cheap ones

Having owned the Bose set for a couple of years now, decided to take a gamble on the T100's being better. They only arrived yesterday, and I can tell you without a shadow of doubt, they are much better speakers than the Bose set. Louder, heavier bass. Better mid-range and highs. Overall, the sound quality is a definite step up. Considering I paid £99 for my T100's. The Bose speakers feel like they should cost no more than £59. Trust me, for anyone considering either of these two speaker sets for a computer desk with not much space. Definitely get the T100's.

It's all subjective, in the end. But I wonder how some of you heard this comparison? In a D7000 properly driven by a decent DAC and amp, the Bose sound was way better than the T100 to my ears. The T100 sounded muffled, at best. And yes, BOTH were eons away from source material. They sounded thin, lacking deepness (obviously, given their physical size) and stage. But I could spend some time hearing the Bose. The T100? I started forwarding the video from the middle of it onwards. That's how bad they sounded to me in my current setup.

Also what sub woofer would you recommend for around the £150-300 price range to go with the JBL or any other speakers

I got the Creative T100 as a replacement for my Bose Companion 2 Series III recently, which was starting to act up. In short: don't get them. The first unit I got had an issue where it was sometimes cutting off, or dropping, the first bits of audio played through the aux port. I got a replacement unit and it too had the exact same problem. Not sure if it's an inherent issue or that I got a bad batch. But in any case, avoid the Creative T100.

Would you recommend the Bose Companion 2 Series III ? I am thinking about upgrading to those, since they are relatively affordable
@craigsmith45184 жыл бұрын
@@TonyNguyen460 The Bose get a bad wrap for some reason but I've owned these for sometime and they are excellent in my opinion. These are multi-media speakers and designed to be listened to from basically right in front of the speakers. That's were you will get optimal performance from these speakers and where the stereo imaging shines. Of course they project enough to fill a room nicely but that isn't their strong suit. The don't need to be angled inwards like how they are in this demo, and depending on where you have the knob turned, you will get different frequency attenuation from the speakers themselves. Basically they scoop out the mids at lower volume to provide a "cleaner" sound. The louder you tune them the more full range and balanced of a sound you get from them. All of this hinges on your source material of course but you'll be amazed at listening to your favorite music and begin hearing things you never did. You cant go wrong with these if you are just looking to have great sounding computer speakers.
@mrhman2 жыл бұрын
this is a 2 year old comment but thought I'd reply since I've owned the T100 almost 2 years now and still have them. The early T100s had known issues. However, Creative rectified these issues so the current models are fine. My set has been perfect for 2 years and they sound brilliant and i use them nearly every day. Currently looking to upgrade to Edifier units since I'd love to have speakers with built in tweeters. But don't get me wrong, the T100s are seriously impressive for their stature.

I have you both and I can say creative was very surprised by the sound quality and functionality at that price. Bose looks very cheap if you lack sound when more than half of the sound on the ground immediately disappears making it uncomfortable to listen to creatives much louder and the sound quality at medium low and high sounds better than bose. Another thing costs the same. Creativa is more cool. has remote control wireless connection and optical connector and usb and aux connector. Bose Minus with the bass I don't know if I've noticed one but when she hears sometimes she feels that something is missing in the music while listening to the bass as if the sound is a bit muffled late, especially when the low frequency sounds go can you disagree with my opinion i just say in my insight both i have quite a few bose speakers i have 1 year creative t100 i have a second week.
