(wife typing) Remember that vegan diets can be unhealthy if you add a lot of oil to your cooking and tend to eat processed vegan food. I use these recipe ideas as a guide but cut a lot of the fat out. For the vegan fried chicken I would add some Organic Poultry Seasoning , and yes there are vegan brands of poultry seasonings, to further authenticate the taste of fried chicken, especially for those like myself who are transitioning into a vegan lifestyle. Other than that it’s a Great recipe! 👍🏼

My husband and I made the fried "chickn" and it was delicious! My husband brought some in for his co-workers who always say that they could never go vegan, and they all loved it. Our Thanksgiving last year involved a few Bosh recipes. We will be making some of these in the video next.

Maroxa I don’t mean to be rude but sorry... what ? A vegan diet is one of the most inexpensive ones to ever exist as it consists of fruit, vegetables, grains and legumes. All of those things cost little money, especially if you bulk buy. The only expensive vegan foods out there are the alternatives to meat and cheese, but in all honesty they’re unnecessary and you can have them as treats.

Alphom Delirium I’m well aware of that but she said that vegan food in general so I was correcting her misinformed self. Vegan processed food is becoming cheaper and far more readily available more and more nowadays and it’s being treated as the normality. Vegan meats in my opinion cost as much as regular meat so there’s no loss there, vegan ‘dairy’ alternatives are maybe 25p-50p more expensive but it’s non negligible honestly :).

Lol I noticed it too and idk if I did something wrong but the texture is a bit chewier (stretchier) than expected. But the flavor was awesome. I used sundries tomatoes and bbq sundries tomatoes with a few grape tomatoes instead of tomatoes purée ... I don’t think that could have effected the texture that much though

Well, regarding supplements like B12, kruidvat has a lot of vitamines, including B12, or Holland and Barret: that's where I currently got mine. About good products, Albert Heijn, Colruyt, and any major supermarket should usually have a few good vegan products, and obviously, bio-shops will probably have a few things aswell. Atleast that is how it concerns for me here in Ghent, I have no idea about Brussels, but I don't see why they wouldn't have it ^^ I also suggest joining Facebook groups, they often post, share and answer all the questions you have :)

I'm not vegan or vegetarian (i live with my super Mexican meat lover parents) but I'm trying to lower my meat consumption! I know from how ive been raised ill probably never be even completely vegetarian, but my goal is to reduce what animal products I consume and overall be better and healthier :) and these recipes help tons! definitely looking forward to making these !!!

I want to go on a vegan diet for a week! I've been considering it for a while. I've always been a really picky eater so I've been collecting vegan recipes that I might like. I've tried a few here and there and haven't had much luck yet. I think what's key for me is not having to do a bunch of substitutions (e.g.. the vegan steak in this recipe. Looks awesome but uses a lot of substitute stuff that I haven't heard of or worked with)

I made the "Juckfruit Philly cheesesteak" WITHOUT the bread, mayo and cheese, and insteat I served it on a bed of Buckwheat pancake and topped it with bit of sriracha sauce, fresh coriander and roasted green beens and lime on the side. Everyone loved it!! and its gluten free ! :O *Another idea is to add some roasted asparagos on top :)

I loved your use of jack-fruit. I've only ever had it curried and pickled before. your video is excellent, right to the point with no BS. your recipes ideas are great! thanks for posting. FYI Worcestershire sauce has Anchovies in it.

I use to be a vegan and jackfruit always made more realistic pulled pork sandwiches. I also made burgers from beets. Mushrooms, artichoke, and palm hearts do however substitute seafood very well for various dishes.

They're different. They're not like the white mushrooms or anything that you usually see. The taste is different and they're denser. They're kinda expensive, depending on where you go and what state you live in though. The only thing I can suggest is to try it and if you don't think they're all that great... meh.. at least ya tried it and decided for yourself. :P I like all mushrooms except shittake mushrooms, so I don't know what to say, except that they are definitely different and I like them better than normal mushrooms.

The thing I have come to realise about Vegans that really love to cook is that they must have an extensive spice supplies. The recipes always look so delicious but have such an array of herbs and spices, some I’ve never even heard of. Maybe I need to expand my horizons a bit 😋

The guy may be right, but his provocative and misanthropic actions alone have made him so unappealing that I as a person and his statements cannot be taken seriously. There is a saying that whoever screams lies. No extreme is good, neither the extreme vegan who wants to convert everyone, or a militant carnivore who laughs at vegans.
