@@lifeencounters3267 I just never have, I used to eat the tiniest bit and always be very picky about it and after accidentally coming by forks over knives and seeing what happens to those animals, which might sound stupid but I was not aware of, I don't know what I was thinking but I was none the wiser, I decided I don't want to be a reason for anyone's suffering. I don't differentiate between animal or human meat to me it's all muscle, veins, cartilage and it genuinely puts me off, that's in my head and I cannot change it if I tired.

I love how you guys have a mix of healthy and unhealthy meals on your channel. I do like to eat healthy most of the time but just because im eating vegan doesnt mean i suddenly eat like no oil/normal flour and only use dates/bananas/almond flour. I was finding it quite difficult to find "normal" baking videos until i came across this channel :)

Easy? Maybe Delicious? Certainly. Cheap? It would depend on the eye of the beholder and where .... Cheap, yes for someone with a discretionary income. You would do well with more realistic subject lines.
@Vanessa-fs7oz5 жыл бұрын
Just out of curiosity, which aspect did you feel was not that cheap? Was it the vegan cheese? Or just the number of ingredients needed, adding up to be quite a bit? I felt like aside from the vegan cheese and guac (avocados are cheap in some places but expensive in others) most of the ingredients were cheap: rice, beans, canned tomatoes, pasta, tortillas.
@ComelyStar5 жыл бұрын
@@Vanessa-fs7oz I feel the same as OP. Nutritional yeast - not cheap, almonds - not cheap, vegan butter - not even existent where I live, and as you said, vegan cheese and guac/avocados not cheap.
@Vanessa-fs7oz5 жыл бұрын
@@ComelyStar That's a good point. I felt like these recipes could be simplified and that would make them cheaper for sure, because the core ingredients are actually pretty affordable, especially if bought in bulk.
@Vanessa-fs7oz5 жыл бұрын
@@ComelyStar Also that really sucks that vegan butter doesn't exist where you are. Kinda shocking actually, I feel like it's everywhere. There is margarine, technically vegan I believe, though not as desirable for lots of reasons.

Sadly, I can't recommend making the tornado potatoes. It is a cool idea, and looks beautiful in the video, but it is actually extremely difficult to execute. During prep, the skewers were really hard to push through the potatoes, and one actually broke from the force of pushing it in and the sharp end stabbed me. 😫 I only prepped 2 potatoes because I was afraid of further injury. 😖 I followed the baking instructions on the website (350 degrees for 30 minutes) and the potatoes were still raw in the center. I cooked them for another 20 minutes at 450 degrees, and thought all was good (was browned on the outside and a knife poked in). I brought them to Thanksgiving the next day, only to find that they were still raw and hard around the skewers! Yucky 😓 So yeah, it's a cool idea, but unfortunately it was extremely difficult to prep, and didn't even roast well in the oven. I'll have to try something more basic from this channel later.👍

My fiancee bought the Bosh books and there are great recipes in them but I never eat any with vegan cheese and recipes that look like meat. I don't see the point in eating meat lookalike products as it reminds me of when I ate meat. It would be great if more vegan recipes focused on exploring plant based cuisine without maybe trying to softly bring people from eating meat to eating processed foods that look like meat. In the future hopefully there will be more vegan chefs creating more and more vegan meals without lookalike meals.

•Pasta isn't vegan. •None of your ingredients appeared to be vegan. •I don't think you understand what vegan means. •Vegan means no animal contamination whatsoever. NONE •Do you only consume distilled water? Filtering alone does not eliminate animal contamination. •Your food is impure or secondary vegetarian. •The question isn't *_if_* your foods are contaminated or not but *_how much_* they're contaminated. •Please take the time to educate yourself on the ingredients you use, how they're harvested and brought to processing plants, how they're processed and packaged and stop promoting your food as _vegan._ •The FDA clearly tells consumers that it is *impossible* to process most foods without any form of animal contamination.
