I have 5 flangers. Among them are them are the BF-2 and BF-3. I personally love the versatility of the BF-3. It does a LOT and it's stereo. The sweep gets wild, reacts well to distortion and does airplanes well. The BF-2, on the other hand, is more powerful and has a richer sound but it's not stereo. And not nearly as versatile. They're BOTH good but I use the BF-3 more often.
@crosswalklarry7 жыл бұрын
Nasher188 Do you notice a volume boost when using your BF-3? Mine is really noticable especially on the dirty channel.
@SaxJockey5 жыл бұрын
Just bought the BF-3, it is great, the pan out to two amps is brilliant. No significant volume jump up (I read that the MXR Micro does). Why did Boss make the default power up of the BF-3 always on? I do not like that aspect.

man, I was making a preset for this song and I remembered this video and I tried Flanger and it worked! I am very satisfied with the preset I ended up with. EDIT: I just followed the original recommendations and I tried Phaser and I got an even closer result. But it´s sort of almost the same procedure, it is fast and has its depth, and in the case of phaser you have resonance, so all that helps to get a REAL close sound.

I can't seem to get Tap Tempo to work for Gate/Pan mode. No matter the tempo I tap, it always sounds like the rate knob is all the way up. Any hell is appreciated.
@underpressureman5 жыл бұрын
So in the mode where its off until you press in the pedal, if you press it in for more than 2 sec its goes into set tempo mode? Wouldn't that mess up the point of it if the note or passage you want to hold down the pedal for is longer than 2 sec? Wouldn't it screw it up?
@HouseofBats2 жыл бұрын
if you still need an answer: in the momentary mode, holding the footswitch down for 2s or longer DOES NOT put it into set tempo mode. however, in every other mode, holding the footswitch down for 2s or longer WILL set it to set tempo mode. hope this helped. :)

You mean hooked up to a power supply? If so, then no. You can even take the battery out as you've probably already drained it long ago without even knowing
