I liked the Marshall Ed-1 Compressor pedal best but this was a VERY close 2nd for clean tones and the preferred compressor for smooth distortion lead sounds.

I had to hide my compressor because it hid my sloppiness and became a crutch. Maybe when I feel like I have mastered my pick attack and palm muting I will find my compressor pedal.

If you don't like it try the Marshall Ed-1 Compressor pedal. As far as I was concerned the Marshall and Boss compressors were the best.
