I have this same amp and I was shocked at the massive sound that came out of it! Great amp!

I'd like to know what the practice routine of someone at your level looks like. By the way, any of the small amps can run on battery power. They make usb to 9vdc connectors thst will allow you to run one of those portable charging banks as power. I bought one for my Spark.

Great Q about practice routine. When I'm prep'ing for a show I just play through my set list as practice. It helps me to figure out where I'm making mistakes or changes I need to make so that I can then work things out and be ready to play when I get on stage 😊 I don't have a set routine of practice like a lot of people where they go through scales or exercises to warm up the hands. If I am learning something specific then I will put some time aside to go through it and get it up to speed. Both ways work well 😊 Hope that helps. Have an awesome day.

Hey Jay, as a fellow luthier and amp builder I really appreciate all your videos. Thanks! Quick question. I want a Lynch inspired pickup. I am trying to decide between the Pariah Skere and the Arcane 13 (aka Mr Scary). Can you describe the differences and which is your favorite and why?
@jayguitar Жыл бұрын
Thanks man! I appreciate it. Great Q - The Pariah is always my choice between the two because it has more low string/low end definition. The Arcane sounds fantastic too - it is a little rounder sounding, slightly softer in its response. The Pariah is a little more immediate but with a very similar punchy tone. Its definitely worth a try. Hope that helps 😊 Have an awesome day!

do you think this amp would have a good enough volume to use in jam sessions with a drummer?
@jayguitarАй бұрын
Hey dude, good Q - no its not loud enough to play with a drummer. It has a reasonable volume but with drums it will get drowned out. Hope that helps. Have an awesome day!

They're deceptive like most digital stuff, they don't cut through at higher levels, good for the bedroom or studio, terrible for live in most situations, maybe jazz, but anything heavy and it just gets lost.
@fabioragone222 ай бұрын
The katana mini is 100% analog (appart from the delay I reckon). And I mean, who tf would buy a Katana Mini to gig with? The bigger brothers like the 50w are indeed digital, but not the mini. I have one and it sounds outstanding for its size.
