Even after watching hundreds of videos from PGS over the past few years, Andy's musicality in his playing is still inspiring.

Recently acquired this pedal and I have to say it is very usable and you can squeeze many different sounds out of it. The shimmering plink delay is just scratching the surface of what the pedal can do, even though every video highlights that sound as if that's all it can manage. I've gotten many bold reverb swaths and dark crumbling delays out of it, even a sort of piano-esque ring. If you're willing to experiment then dive in, because this pedal is tons on fun if you like messing with settings.

True. It can be very subtle. I've had this on the end of my board for years and it covers so many bases.
@Jakal-pw8yq3 жыл бұрын
I've had this pedal now for 3 months and really feel like I'm just scratching the surface! This pedal in conjunction with a boss DD7 is just magical. I can get all those etheral beautiful sounds that are really useful in so many applications. If you want Pink Floyd you got it! I run a Dr D MAZ18JR w/verb, 2×10" and a Tone King Imperial Mk I in stereo and the sound is otherworldly and really addictive! I changed one of the 10"'s in the Z to a Celestion gold alnico 10" speaker als Matchless and the effect was just amazing and I highly recommend it. The two different magnets are really notiable and really sensitive to picking attack and input from other effects. I've never heard another delay do what the Boss TE does. Even the high end "boutique" pedals costing much more. Boss hit it out of the park with the Tera Echo! You need one so damn it, go get one!!

@Musiccalgary I love that Boss actually dares to try something new, in contrast to every "respectable" boutique company who only puts out yet another tubescreamer og vibe or what not. You might not like the sound, but what you say sounds very much like what certain people said about the Beatles and Black Sabbath when they first started out. Hey people hated the Les Paul when it came out, but guess what happened! It's on every hit record now!

I just ordered this pedal online from Reverb the other day, and although it has arrived, I haven’t yet had the opportunity to play with it yet. I just snuck in enough time before work the other day to unbox it and give it an exterior inspection. Definitely looking forward to plugging it in and playing. If it goes well, then I’ll be ordering an MO-2 Multi Overtone to partner with it.
@80sguitarnut9911 жыл бұрын
I have an RV-3 that sounds a lot like this. The TE-2 seems to add a bit of phase to the sound though (could be wrong). But they are very similar sounding. I think the reverb in the TE-2 is light years ahead of the RV-3 in the fact that is seems a little less digital. Very nice. Very nice indeed.
