How do you add the TSR Preset Pack (.tsl file) to the Boss waza?

I wanted to share a discovery with you. I have the Boss Katana MKII Artist. I also have the Boss Waza Air Headphones. I found that you can plug the transmitter from the Waza Air headphones into the "Line Out" on the amp. You get a great signal with no discernible latency. Sounds fantastic!!

Have owned these since April of 2020. Don’t care about wandering perspective, simply don’t use it. A family life-saver for practice during COVID shutdown. Absolutely perfect for practicing with KZbin videos. Tuner works, but just use it for your A string and do the rest by ear. Audio quality of streamed content has me hearing nuances I’ve never heard in songs I’ve performed for years. Battery life is an issue, but as long as you’re aware of it, you can deal. Also, Alec Bourne - Midi Mad Scientist, has figured out how to footswitch between presets, very cool.

How did you installed them? I downloaded the zip file, unzipped, but when I tried to import them in the app it doesn't find the .tsl file. It has to be in any particular folder in the phone so the app find it? Thanks!

@@Johnmannish First of all I made a separate folder within the downloads folder in my iPhone's Files app. Called it 'Waza Presets' just so it's easy to find. Downloaded the presets to there and unzipped them in the folder. (Important to note my Files app is stored in the Cloud). Next I opened the Waza Air app and went to the Librarian page in the app, and tapped on the import arrow (points downwards) at the top right of the screen. Tapped on 'Cloud' from the 3 options, then navigated to the Downloads folder, and then opened the Waza Presets folder. Tapped on the TSR Presets.tsl unzipped file and they moved over to the Waza app. You can then select them from the Librarian tab in the app. Let me know if it works.

@@80Days thanks for the answer! I have Android, I have the file unzipped in my phone, so I don't tap cloud, I tap "file. But when I tap "file" it doesn't find any file ☹️ I don't know if it must be in a particular folder, couldn't find any information on internet, and doesn't say anything about that in the waza manual

Amazing headphones. I love mine but I wish Paul would have mentioned the very obvious defect that when using the ambient mode, the center point wanders. I.e if the amp starts out behind you, it very quickly wanders around the room. This makes this very cool feature totally unusable and annoying. A quick search on the web will turn up many others complaining about the same thing and Boss has provided no fix. This would have come across as less of a sales pitch if Paul had mentioned this because I think it will disappoint a lot of buyers. I still like mine and use them all the time but just as normal headphones. Thanks to the studio rats for great content.

If you update the firmware to the latest and get the newest version of the app, you can now lock the gyro so they do not move. This firmware was released within the last week or two.

Brilliant device - I’ve had one for 9 months now. I turn off the gyro, use surround only. The gyro thing is buggy, and sounds pretty lousy at best. I use studio ambience, turned almost all the way down - way too much reverb otherwise.

Great update. Question for you: can I plug my guitar into my Headrush pedal fx board, then put the Bluetooth sender into the output Jack (usually to the amp) and then expand the tones to all my fav presets?

Hi. Is there a problem plugging into a strat? I've heard you need to get an adapter for a strat. Also can you plug straight into a guitar pedal like an overdrive pedal instead of your guitar. Example plug your guitar into your pedal board then instead of a cable to your amp you plug the adapter in? I've seen them do this on Anderton's channel.

have had a pair for awhile now. i love them...battery dont last that long in the headphones, im hoping to mod them one day with better battery, other than that i dont think any other wired or wireless headphone can match up! imo

The only thing that worries me as a owner of the wazas is how boss support in the future will be. I'm under the impression they didn't sell a ton of them, I hope they'll give assistance for battery replacement etc when I'll need it.

@@valebliz no doubt! I’ve never tried to contact them or anything but when I first got them 6 months ago they seemed to work for good idk 5 hrs or so.. as time went on seems like they last 3 hrs n there dead! Not the dongle, that thing will last a week with no charge..

I've heard a lot of issues with the app on Android and heard of a lot of bugs with these headphones. Should I wait or jump the gun and get them? I have an s20 plus and I don't want to buy these just for a newer version to come out in 2022 or have the app be unusable

Personally I think it makes much more of a difference with headphones, you really feel the ambient sound and the binaural audio is much more natural and less tiring for the ears, while using headphones plugged to an amp it usually sounds like you have the speaker glued to your ears with zero spatial depth to the sound. On the other hand my yamaha THR has stereo sound but it makes much less of a difference coming out of an amp speaker. Maybe if you have two cabs far apart it becomes relevant again.

The gyro is great but too overdone. In reality sound doesn’t go from one ear to another when turning the head.

Love the headphones but want to maximise their use by plugging the transmitter into my favourite tube preamp. Any chance you'd be able to make a patch that is as flat as possible to reduce the effect of the Boss preamp?
